Note, this is NOT the Duke lacrosse case.

But while THAT case was ongoing, a black youth was accused of raping a white Duke student at a frat party.

He was let out on bond, and the case received very little coverage (no satellite trucks).

While on bond, he is now accused of raping another woman.

Of course he has the presumption of innocence unless he is ultimately proven guilty.

But note the disparity between the coverage given the lacrosse case, and this one.

(And note that there is no outrage from feminists, Duke professors, civil libertarians, nor anyone else who professed to be so concerned with the lacrosse “non-rape”).

This has nothing to do with the amount of the bond.

The problem is with a slow justice system that is still waiting to try this man after arresting him over a year ago.
