ILLEGAL ALIENS ARE HERE TO STAY
boblonsberry.com ^ | 11/25/08 | Bob Lonsberry

Posted on 11/25/2008 5:09:13 AM PST by shortstop

Have you noticed that nobody’s talking about illegal immigration?

For the last year, except for a fringe Republican or two, nobody said a word. It was the official look-the-other-way topic. We had an entire presidential election and never once raised an issue that threatens the cultural existence of the United States.

It was officially ignored.

Do you know why?

It’s because the issue is moot. We lost on the issue of illegal immigration, and the illegal aliens won. That fight is over. Next year this time there will be millions of illegal aliens on the path to citizenship.

Odds are they’ll get there in plenty of time to re-elect Barack Obama in 2012.

In the name of fairness and equity, with tearful references to Ellis Island, the Democratic Party will find itself 12 to 20 million new citizens before the next big election. This election guarantees that.

The reasons are simple.

First of all, Latino voters continued their slide into predictable support for the Democratic Party. Efforts to encourage Latinos to vote like blacks seem to be working, and a disaffected-minority mentality with unquestioning loyalty to the Democrats is shaping up.

Second of all, the Democrats promised the pathway to citizenship – politically correct talk for “amnesty” – and with the presidency and a lopsided control of Congress, there is no way to avoid keeping the promise. Though failure to act would hold the wedge issue over for exploitation in another election, without the Republicans to blame for obstruction, the Democrats have to act.

One of the reasons for that is that if they don’t, the Republicans will. Or at least they will promise to. In an electorate that continues to be divided right about in the middle, securing the favor of a block of voters – like Latinos – guarantees a lock on success. By being the party that gives citizenship – and all the socialist Obama benefits that go with it – to as many as 20 million Spanish-speaking illegal aliens, the Democrats could assure themselves power for a generation.

On the other hand, if the Democrats don’t do anything – if they hold all this power and don’t take care of the problem – they risk losing Latino loyalty. It might not be a big risk, but it is a risk nonetheless.

And the Democrats won’t take it.

For philosophical, policial and cynical reasons, the Democrats will give amnesty to illegal aliens by the millions.

And I can’t think of a thing that opponents can do to stop it. The Democrats hold all the cards.

So the issue becomes trying to argue for assimilation. If the illegals who are here are allowed to stay, whether they are an asset or a liability will depend on whether they are immigrants or invaders. If they move into the language and culture of this country, all will be well. If they cling to the language and culture of the old country, we will be Balkanized into a nation riddled with Third World pockets.

Assimilation is a bad word in the politically correct world which produced the president. Multiculturalism teaches that even failed cultures must be respected and celebrated. Instead of teaching young Spanish speakers how to be Americans, schools will teach young Americans how to be Spanish speakers. In the name of diversity we will sacrifice unity.

And we might sacrifice America.

So we need to gear up for this fight. We must insist on immigration the way it’s always been done in this country – with English immersion and assimilation. We must demand that schools stop their bilingual nonsense, that government stop facilitating foreign languages, and that our society insist that if you live here, you do things the way we do things here.

The illegal aliens are here to stay. Soon they will be citizens. What remains to be seen is if they will be productive citizens, or if we will merely have imported another failed class.

In one case, our country will be better. In the other case, our country may well be doomed.

America as we’ve known it is gone. 20 million illegal aliens will be voting ‘rat for life after they are amnestied next year.

Demography is destiny, this is not a mere swing of the pendulum. Welcome to the ‘rat dominated USSA, forever.

A poll was taken in southern California recently. Residents there were asked if they thought illegal immigration was a real problem. The results were 29% of the residents responded “ Yes this is a very serious problem for our country.” 71% responded “No es una problema seriosa.”

The question really is becoming, “Where we WE emigrate to?”

Sounds like one more “Welve lost so lets give up” article.

Millions of us have no intent of giving up no matter what media mal practitioners have to say. If people want to curl up in the fetal position and let the enemy walk over them, they’re welcome to do it but they need to get the hell off the battlefield.

We need to use the same type of border control that Mexico uses on its southern border.

Mexico, on the other hand, is not so generous when its national sovereignty is being violated. Since 1974, anyone found entering Mexico illegally is subject to two years of incarceration, if they are lucky. For years Mexican troops on Mexico’s southern border have used land mines and assault rifles to deter Central American immigrants from entering Mexico. Anyone trying to cross Mexico’s southern border illegally can be killed with little or no notice to the media.

Because neither Obama nor McQueeg care what we think, only their Overlords are heard.

W. J. Clinton mentor, Carroll Quigley, Professor of History at Georgetown University, stated, “The Council of Foreign Relations (CFR) is the American Branch of a society which originated in England and believes national boundaries should be obliterated and one-world rule established.”

Illegal immigration is such a joke. THroughout latin america you can bet illegals are deported (ie Mexico).

Funny how hispanics overwhelming rejected Mccain... If you have a strong president that addresses the illegal immigration issue sensibly, hispanics will understand. Trust me... deportation is universally accepted in latin america. the problem is that the GOP takes an idiotic stance at getting latino votes. Don’t cater to la raza, at the end of the day they are a leftist organization.

I don’t understand why we can’t do the same. The people coming across the border are “invaders” and for all we know could be terrorists. The solution of more Border Patrol agents only goes so far, and even though there is supposed to be a fence being built, all I’ve heard is excuses why they can’t build it. Give enforcement to the military with the requirement to seal the border. I think it will be done almost immediately. Of course, to get any action, we need someone in the White House that has America’s interests in mind, and that won’t happen until 2012.

Says it all, doesn't it? The media is in the enemy camp in this country, and will whine unceasingly about enforcement. Down there they know better than to poke their noses in where they are not wanted!

And the sad reality is that after illegals are legalized, we will still import and employ illegals because the wage advantage of the current illegals will evaporate. Their cost of employment will be the same as any natural American.

The thing is, you don’t even hear the media talk about these land mines. You would at least think that the groups against land mines would be very vocal about it, but they aren’t. I am so fed up with the pass the media gives to the opposition.

Demography is destiny, this is not a mere swing of the pendulum.

That's been the goal at least since 1965 with the passage of the Immigration Reform Act. The goal of Communism was to destroy the hold on power of the "bourgeoisie", or upper class and middle class whites. With the passage of that act, and the abject failure to control illegal immigration, that goal will soon be achieved. Just another (major) step on the road to socialism.

I agree. I canceled my subscription to the Atlanta Constipation during the campaign because of their liberal bias. They called yesterday wanting to give me a deal to come back and I gave them an earfull. Other than that, I don't have a good way to fight back. We need to come up with a way to make the MSM really feel our anger.

Illegal immigration would have been an issue, except that the GOP nominated Mr. Amnesty. The GOP thus flushed a winning issue down the crapper. Obama will likely pass amnesty legislation. Hopefully, the GOP will capitalize on it. If they don’t, conservatives will likely be in the minority until the Republic dissolves (which may be soon).

Unlike this author...I have not given up this fight...

One thing this author has missed is that any move to give illegals “amnesty” may be fought even harder by real Americans.

As Americans are losing jobs due to the slowing economy...the “We need illegals to do the jobs Americans wont do” line used by anti-American groups will not float. There will be a bigger backlash from Americans...

Also, the majority of Obama voters are AGAINST amnesty for illegals. Do not be surprised if Obama backs away from any amnesty plan...esp. in his first term

And....GOP must purge pro-illegal politicians from its rolls. Re-electing treasonous letches like Lindsay Graham is no way to prevent Amnesty. In 2010 we must purge pro-illegal/anti-American House and Senate members

And...again...stop supporting organizations like the Chamber of Commerce...who work with anti-American groups like La Raza (The Race) and the ACLU to convince/cajole/bribe politicians to support Amnesty. The Chamber of Commerce is more like the “Collective of Communists” now

You and this guy are not keeping up with reality. Don’t blame folks for not doing their home work on Obama when you have not done your homework on illegal immigration and you give a stamp of approval on some idiot named Lonsberry.

Nancy Pelosi Proves that Dems Aren’t Immigrant Friendly Either
09:00 H | Topics: Immigration - Politics

Still think that electoral politics is going to solve the immigration issue? Or that being a Democrat means a magic answer to save Latinos once we, as a sleeping giant that everyone keeps talking about, vote? Gracias to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is keeping it real by stepping away from offering a path to citizenship to immigrants.

…Pelosi also said Congress would have to tackle the politically sticky job of overhauling immigration laws in the new Congress, after a bipartisan measure collapsed last year.

The estimated 12 million immigrants in the U.S. illegally “are part of the U.S. economy. We cannot send them all home, and we cannot send them all to jail, so we have to address it,” Pelosi said.

(This means Republicans have to go along, since Dems don’t want to bare the costs of being the party that passes an amnesty bill without political cover).

Any solution would have to be bipartisan, she said, so it may require sacrificing some of Democrats’ past priorities, such as giving illegal immigrants a path to citizenship.

“Maybe there never is a path to citizenship if you came here illegally,” Pelosi said. “I would hope that there could be, but maybe there isn’t.”

What’s with this maybe business all of a sudden? Maybe now the Dems are telling the truth, that they never intended for there to be a path to citizenship or any sort of recognized status? Maybe it’s easier to keep millions of people and their families struggling in underground economies, living in neighborhoods that that are third world nations within this first world nation until ICE catches and deports those that survive horrific prison conditions?

It’s so convenient for the politicos and their reps in the mainstream media to blow smoke up out collective Latino asses and make us feel important, when already they are planning on backing out of promises even before your vote is cast.

Remember that on November 4th.
