I glanced down at the comments at the end of this article. Wow! These environmentalists really are over the edge.

A guy calling himself Boone County Native is apparently not concerned with the destruction of capitalism and the miseries of socialism.
After all, he says, "We know how to camp and it is quite soothing actually. I can manage without electicity, I can hang clothes to dry, I can cook on a grill or open flame, I can even do without shopping ..."

Fantastic. And now they have a friend in the White House.

“Don Blankenship 2012”

You do have something there.

I searched and found another recent article about him:

Blankenship Shares Thoughts on Election, Future of Coal

http://www.statejournal.com/story.cfm?func=viewstory&storyid=46861

“West Virginians need to remember what support of Democratic candidates on the national level means: It means supporting such leaders as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., both of whom he contends want to “put West Virginia out of business” by discouraging coal mining.

...

For example, he contended that 96 percent of carbon dioxide emissions come from countries other than the United States. Promoting policies that further restrict domestic industries makes no sense because if the regulations become too burdensome, those companies will move overseas where they will have little or no regulation. Therefore, such stricter regulations actually can lead to more pollution, Blankenship said. “
