No.He was a weak candidate to begin with.Its seems to be part of the plan.We conservatives raised so much hell about all these silly assed attempts at what I stated.Now think back to when this all happened.The republicans were in power and their base held the line.What has to happen to get this through?We had to lose.Well we lost the house and the senate in 06 correct?Did it not seem odd that republican politicians could be so stupid?Remember when bush remarked ,after we lost the house and senate,Now I have a congress I can work with?Do you remember that?Except for the pics for the supreme court there is not alot I am proud of from bush.The agenda will be carried out by the rats now.I hope I’m wrong but I dont think so.What a rant I know.

Then you have this strange feel good “for the others” Compassionate Conservatism which has no care whatsoever for the work of taxpayers. He went to AA meetings and other “Presbiterian” “Jamaica cushy missions” moralizing classes apparently too.
It’s a culture war between the claims of the passive sufferers (natural birth pains) vs. the active ones who genuinely seek to suffer through for others in order to re-up. I sense a strange sense of hate of those who sacrifice for this country genuinely in all this, along with a weak peace-wish demand.
A certain bet that we are not responsible here and hence not in the hereafter, as if characted need not be built, is most sinister.
