Yes the Cubans in South Florida are very anti-communist but take that issue off the table and they WILL vote democratic by at least a 2 to 1 margin. This will probably come about as a result off their offspring voting Democratic. Castro won't live forever and when he goes the situation will only get worse.

1. Most Cuban Americans do NOT consider themselves people of color. According to most surveys, 85% are white. Hell, anyone who lives in South Florida can tell you that fact.

2. Most Cuban Americans are middle to upper class.

3. Cuban Americans have a high rate of intermarriage with other white Americans.

4. Cuban Americans are now a minority of Florida Hispanics, thanks to the large influx of Puerto Ricans and Central Americans.

I agree with your points. But tell me how the Cubans in South Florida voted? Did they vote for McCain or Obama. If I'm not mistaken they voted for Obama by a comfortable margin. Am I wrong? What are the numbers?
