Please let us know if any of you hear any mention of this in your church.

It would be interesting to know how often, in these days when Christians all over the world under under greater attack and persecution than they have been for several hundred years, this worldwide phenomenon is discussed by comparison, let us say to such burning questions (so to speak) as whether homosexuals should be ordained.

It worked in Kenya for Barack and his thug cousin Raila Odinga, so why not use the same thuggery rioting and mayhem in Nigeria? US of A might be next. But bring it on I say.

What I hear from my pastor is that persecution grows Christianity, and an almost wistful wonder whether he/we could stand up to persecution and remain true in our faith.

This is interspersed with admonitions against getting involved in politics. There seems to be no understanding of the politics behind the crucifiction of Christ, or of the political stand he took by ejecting the money changers from the Temple.

I am afraid that I am close to looking for another church.
