CBS News: Obama & Right-Wing Conspiracy Theorists
CBS News ^ | Nov. 30, 2008 | Michael Schaffer

They don't have political rallies to bring them together anymore, but it's no secret that a lot of people out there don't much like Barack Obama. The president-elect, according to his more fervent campaign-season detractors, has a raft of unforgivable faults: He's a socialist, a Muslim, an actual love-child of Malcolm X. His birth certificate was missing, his book had been ghost-written by William Ayers, and his wife, "Mrs. Grievance," as a National Review cover dubber her, was perennially on the cusp of getting caught ranting against the white man. The only thing keeping the Illinois senator's infamy from going public is the quiescence of the liberal media. Perhaps you remember.

Donofrio would have been heard sooner but the supreme court clerk(suter?) tried to play fast and lose with his submission until donofrio caught him and complained and than they re docketed it.
Then the same clerk turned around and did the same trick to cort wtronski(sp). He too complained and it was re docketed.
(I did the above from memory but it's pretty close)

Unless Rush, Sean, Mark and Laura Ingraham (combined audiences of near 35-40 million) get into it really strong it will hurt the cause.
I am not a Savage fan but he did get into it pretty good and has a huge audience.

BOR is a little leaguer who has to shout down his opponents to win most debates. He is stupid enough to go up against Rush's time slot daily and lose every day and it won't get any better only worse.

I believe the Donofrio caseis based is addressing citizenship involving Obama, McCain and Mr. Calero. There is speculation that Justice Thomas accepted it because of Mr. Calero. It’s very technical and complicated, but I believe they will do what is best for the country.

Most people don’t know about it because it is so highly charged. Both sides need to calm down and wait for the decision and try our best to accept it.

Either side who believes they can impinge on our basic rights and freedoms will be sorely mistaken.

I certainly have not been a student of marxism. But, given the scenerio you present, my warped choice would be to convert the perception of irrationality/chaos/deception into rationality/order/truth. So it would be simply another layer of deception fashioned as truth.
So the slug becomes eschargot and fish bait becomes calamare - with a bit of parsley and a high price. And one would tout the health benefits of the deception and exhibit distain for those to ignorant to recognize same.

Personally I’d acknowledge the original error and readjust behavior to the new reality. Much simpler and easier to defend.

Someone on FR posted that Mark Levin has mentioned on his radio show that the BC argument doesn't hold water, and we should drop it.

We have to trust Freepers here and I would believe that. One thing that absolutely left me sick to the stomach was the normally affable Glen Beck. I mean that he is polite UNTIL someone gets to him. Now an intelligent sounding woman came on first thing about three weeks ago. She mentioned the electoral college and then said there is the birth certificate..... Beck literally went ballistic.

Stop, stop, stop it- enough already with the birth certificate.....

He then ranted that this was his president, my president and he went on and on. Funnily enough I thought GWB was his president. The sad thing was that this Beck has a call screener. I don't know but there is a good chance he set this unsuspecting caller up, so he could rant.

For some reason, I can hardly listen to the man now. Good voice for Conservatives that he was. George Noury on Coast to Coast did have on Phillip J Berg, the lawyer to talk about his lawsuit. George wisely said but little, except the phrase "weird, very weird". I ask rhetorically is the stench of absolute fear abroad on the news networks?

I agree—the first victim of the leftist’s dishonesty is himself.

To answer your original question. All deception is subject to potential exposure. Exposure is the ultimate weapon against the lies of Marxism.

(Alinsky was wrong in rule # 5. Ridicule is defeated by sincerity.)

As for the best response to Alinsky’s “rules” in general, I would advise bringing the process to the surface. Throw it on the table and say look, that’s what you’re doing and it’s a fraud.

“Unless they are already cowed by Barry”

The Supreme Court has shown, so far, that it is not cowed by Barry.

I agree. That is what takes place at freerepublic every day. However, how to expose the daily incidences of socialist creep to the general voting public? The intellectual arguement must overwhelm the emotional one. The medium must be suited to the audience. The audience must care enough to concentrate on the overall message.

How would you (aside from one on one) educate your plumber, attorney, hairdresser, coworker? A Superbowl ad? Custom printed M&M’s? Fortune cookies perhaps. THAT is the problem. All people are not politically intelligent, most people are not freeper addicts, and there appears to be no line into the generic TV world. There’s only so many fliers one can put on windshields at Target.

The economic death of the Associated Press will be the first step. I think if information can be controlled by a free market, overwhelming ignorance will not decide elections as has been the case in recent years.

See this thread, quite brilliant I must say.

“the AP and every one of its members had the identical incentive to sell the idea that journalism - all journalism - was objective...So with the AP, newspapers suddenly had not only the motive but the opportunity to claim objectivity as long as they did not compete with any other AP newspaper on the basis of objectivity claims. And the more opportunity they had to make that claim, the less compunction was necessary about taking care to vindicate the claim by actually being objective.”

Watch SNL much?

I guess it doesn't matter that BO thinks there are 57 states or can't even have enough decency to place his hand over his heart during our anthem. His Thanksgiving speech was inspiring too since he is a Christian man and never once mentioned god. Could it be he's Muslim?

“Watch SNL much?”

I’m not sure I understand your post. Below is the original post. Owl_Eagle is responding sarcastically to the author or the article and the utter hypocrisy of the leftard’s deranged attacks against Sarah Palin.

“The president-elect, according to his more fervent campaign-season detractors, has a raft of unforgivable faults: He’s a socialist, a Muslim, an actual love-child of Malcolm X. His birth certificate was missing, his book had been ghost-written by William Ayers, and his wife, “Mrs. Grievance,” as a National Review cover dubber her, was perennially on the cusp of getting caught ranting against the white man.”

“As opposed to someone who: had pretended to give birth to the love child of her daughter, went on a wild $150,000 shopping spree at Nieman Marcus, refused to join other candidates on stage because of the abortion and drilling in Alaska views, tried to get her ex-brother-in-law fired improperly, thought Africa was a country, had an affair with her husband’s ex-business partner, made victims of rape pay for their own rape kits, said she could see Alaska from her house, had a “witch doctor” as a spiritual adviser, cut the special needs budget, banned books, was a member of a fringe party, forced creationism to be taught in schools, and so many others.”

Obama also doesn’t know the relationship between Kentucky, Illinois, and Arkansas. You think a sitting Senator would know what states boarder the one he represents.

In the Soviet Union, dissenters were found insane and locked up in asylums. MSM is preparing the ground.
***Then the ground is well prepared, because the MSM drives me nuts.

Sinclair was picked up because a blogger following the story had discovered the warrant and ratted him out to the Washington DC police department that handles outstanding warrants. The warrant was valid, and it’s not unusual for the DCPD to act on active warrants from neighboring states, so no real mystery there.

One fact about the warrant that you Sinclair boosters always seem to forget to mention is that the warrant was only valid up to 200 miles away from Wilmington, DE. So why, if Biden was so keen to silence Sinclair, did he bother issuing an arrest warrant that was completely useless unless Sinclair just happened to wander within 200 miles of Wilmington, DE? At the time when the warrant was issued (months before his arrest in DC) Sinclair was living half-way across the country in Duluth, MN and had given no thought to traveling to Washington DC.

Sinclair’s story was just about the lamest conspiracy theory of this election season. Instead of producing any evidence to back up his story, all he’s done is whine about the hundreds of people who have supposedly conspired against him (again, with no evidence to back up his ever more outlandish claims — making accusations is not evidence).

Even now, he’s supposedly writing a book that will “shock the nation”. I will be shocked if anyone actually notices when he publishes his book.

Please. I am not a "booster" - just interested in a story that may related to Obama the Great. As I have stated, I think Larry is a sleaze, but some portions of the story appear to be believable. BTW, what was the Delaware warrant for, anyway? Why was he arrested and released? What ARE the facts?
