The Venezuelan leader, Hugo Chávez, has not had things all his own way recently, but at least he has famous friends. Falling oil prices and some significant losses in recent elections may have delivered blows to Hugo Chávez's self-styled socialist revolution, but he can still count on the support of Sean Penn.

He wants the freedom, rights and money he make in the country which he is unhappy with, but there is no way in the world he would want is live in Hugo Chavez world.

He's laughing all the way to the bank. For what its worth, I met him last year. I flew Penn, his wife, and their two kids to Hawaii. I'll stand by my previous comment. He still looks like (a badly aged) Spicoli, his clown character from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Unfortunately, he's not Spicoli. He's a hideously wealthy, extremely intelligent, academy award winning actor. And he is an unrepentent, America hating, communist.
