Pakistan warns of threat to terror war

Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan’s president, on Sunday warned that escalating tensions between Pakistan and India would be disastrous for the war on terror by sapping his nation’s effort against militants on its Afghan border.

Pakistan is worried that suspected foreign involvement in the terror attacks on Mumbai will lead to a sharp deterioration of relations with India. Deepening hostility between the two adversaries could lead Pakistan to defend its border with India more heavily.

On Saturday, Pakistan’s government and military officials warned that India was beginning to mobilise its armed forces.

One senior Pakistani military official in Islamabad said parts of the Indian air force were on alert, suggesting that India may make an air strike on Pakistani territory. India has subsequently said its forces are now on a war footing.

Well.....Pakistan...a country of 160 million Muslims....2/3 of them radical....I’d be mobilizing on my border too if they lived next door.

I think that US successes at taking out terrorists on the west side of pakistan plus the recent life threatening attacks on Pakistan’s government by AQ— has lowered the tolerance for all kinds of terrorist activity in Pakistan.

If I were a betting man, I’d wager that the Lakish group responsible for the Indian attack — is going to suddenly find itself decapitated. They won’t see it coming because they will have thought the ISI had their back.

India has to watch its back regarding the Chinese (Pakistan is effectively a Chinese client state). If India made clear that it would destroy Pakistan’s infrastructure unless Pakistan did something VERY effective about the tribal areas, perhaps something would happen.

Take their troops from the ‘Ghan border and put them over on India's?

Sounds like the terrorists plan is working...

Name of plan hatched in mud hut: “How do we get the Paki troops out of the NWFT so’s we'll have free reign over the ‘Ghan border?”

Yep. Looks like it's gonna work like a charm.

Pakistan, or "Pockystahn" as certain news readers are bent on calling it, is in a real poor position to tell us what we can or cannot do.

We always have the option of eliminating Obama bin Ladin by the most positive means...

“Pakistan warns of threat to terror war”

Well yeah. Pakistan doing the usual stoopid mooslime schtick and setting itself up to get its national head stove in would sure put a crimp in terrorists’ ability to fight their war.

It’d also loosen up the logistics stranglehold the douche bags have on the Afghan AO.

Let it work then - we’ll send them to their 72 virgins much sooner than the Pakis/Afghans can.

I think that has to be in the works.

A lot of the terrorists in among the various terrorists groups have to think with reason that they are working under ISI’s umbrella.

These kinds of attacks have to embarrass the ISI badly at a time when they are afraid of AQ attacks.

There has to be some kind of tit for tat. I think the Indians will make it abundantly clear that the pakis need to deliver the Lakish leadership on a platter —

......They won’t see it coming because they will have thought the ISI had their back.....

The death blow will come in the UK

The Brits are complicit in this action against India. They allowed the terrorists to exist.

Pakis complaining that they would not be able to continue “helping” in the War On Terror if India attacks> Hello, if India attacks, it would be because Pakistan is a party in contributing TO terrorism.
