Has anyone seen these sites today?

The factcheck site is dated 10/23/08 but the page data shows that it was updated today at about 6:00 GMT.

I think they are starting to tapdance around the issue, as I don’t remember these two mouthpieces of Camp Obama addressing the issues of Natural Born Citizenship and renunciation/affirmation of citizenship upon returning from Indonesia...all hypothetical analysis, of course /s.

By starting to spin on these issues, I can’t help but think that this issue is starting to worry them.

The glibness of that Annenberg fact-challenged spin is striking! Especially the last paragraph. And in th enest to last that practically admit Obama has a serious problem if he never re-affirmed his US citizenship. Now would there be any paper notarized and signed by a US official attesting to his re-affirmation?

Gee willikers! Could Pakistan have picked a worse time to muscle in on India and threaten Israel (by implication) with nuclear counterstrikes? I mean, after all, it is records of Obama's trip to Pakistan that could hold the key to his future, now isn't it?

Here's the last deuce from the Annenberg fact-challenged spin-team:

The newest falsehood goes like this: Obama was legally adopted by his stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, and thus lost his American citizenship in favor of Indonesian citizenship. Sorry, that’s bogus, too. Because Obama was born in the U.S., he could not lose his citizenship as a child. It could be revoked only if he became a citizen of another country as an adult, and if that country didn’t permit dual citizenship. A glance at the relevant statute shows that all the conditions for loss of nationality are reserved for people over 18 — except for treason, fighting for a hostile army and formal renunciation of citizenship, all of which Obama was a bit young for at age 6. In two of those cases, his citizenship still would have been safe as long as he affirmed it when he turned 18. (Loss of citizenship for treason has no exemptions.)
We’ve even seen a rather jaw-dropping variant that holds that Obama can’t be a citizen because he was born to a teenage mother. Don’t fall for this one, either. Its rationale involves a lot of hand-waving and some twisting of a law that doesn’t apply to people born in the United States (section G here). It’s just another example of a rumor scrambling for a foothold.

Oh, maybe treason is a part of this mix after all. Still the man was elected in a bloody landslide!
