Agreed, but the issue is lack of incentive for the Democratic Party to respond to South Carolina: It lost the state and producing BHO’s long form birth certificate won’t change that, so where’s the incentive to respond? Now, the lack of a response may prompt other States that voted for BHO to make similar requests, but again it comes down to incentive to respond. Unless a State that went BHO has enough Electoral College votes in play to make a difference AND says it won’t certify the election results or cast Electoral College votes without real proof of citizenship, I don’t see any incentive for BHO or the Democratic Party to produce the original birth certificate in response to a demand like the one made by South Carolina.

The incentive is that a court says so.

Since when do we get to ignore a court just because it serves ourself no purpose?
