OK
I admit it.
I went to Walmart at 4:30 on Friday morning.
Lets just say “I’LL NEVER DO IT AGAIN!”
At least you survived to tell about it. Not everyone did.
By the looks of the faces of those I saw on the news as the vast majority of the first ones through the doors, lots of people must think Obama is going to pay for what they purchased.
I’ve been working the wrong shift for a while, so I’ve missed a few Quinnoculations. Time to roll up my sleve...or should I drop my trousers? ;)
Yeah, the poor man who was trampled to death.....
It’s just not worth it.
I went out that early because my sister-in-law wanted something special for her son. I couldn’t even get near the display because of the crowd. All I could do was stand back and watch as people dived in. I didn’t even bother.
Both Miles! LOL!
It was lonely here Friday...sigh.
In any case...
For your perusal and amusement I'm posting some pics from Thanksgiving when I deep fried a turkey.
We had 4 types of stuffing, corn, baby carrots, mashed potatos, sweet potatos, home made bread and biscuits, several pies, cheesecakes, peas, broccoli & cheese, salad, 1 oven turkey and 1 deep fried turkey and I'm sure I left a few things out.
We gathered at my daughter's house because her baby is only a few months old and her kitchen was capable of handling several people cooking at the same time. fmaily also figured her place was better equipped to put out the fire THEY all expected with me doing the deep fried thing.
Oldest son, his wife and 9 month old baby were there as was my youngest son and my daughters inlaws. My boys were the ones helping me with the deep fried turkey.
No fire, no injuries, no trips to the hospital and the deep fried turkey was FANTASTIC!
The pics are kinda blurry cuz I forgot to bring the regular camera and used the cheap one I carry in the Durango.
Goin' in.
Cookin'
Comin' out
One can't wait.
Eatin'
The deep fried turkey never made it to the table. After cooling for 15 minutes it was on the kitchen island and Wife asked if anybody wanted to sample it. After everybody did - and came back for seconds and thirds - there was very little left! They all loved it. I'm gonna do another one later this week.
Hope the pics don't screw up the thread.

Great pics! Looks like a great time was had by all! Wish I’d taken a few pictures. Don’t know why I didn’t.
That turkey looked pretty nice! Glad you lived to tell the tale! HA! Looks like the guys were jubilant with the result! (Something about guys and outdoor cooking?) :-)
My sister, her two daughters and my sisters friend, Richard, joined us for dinner. We had the usual turkey & fixings, veggies, pies, etc. I tried a new vegetable dish that went over really well. Then we all gathered in the living room for a movie and, in my sister’s case, a snooze! lol!
It just needs more smiles from a few.
Soooo...what's Quinn up to today? I had some last minute production to do again so I'm not at a machine were I can listen. Maybe I'll have to start carrying a radio.

Great photos!
I can’t get XM at work. I have to listen to my Pod Cast.
LOL! Maybe instead of a ‘live’ thread, we should have a ‘podcast’ thread!
That would help me.
If XM would just put this program on the internet site for listening, it would help.
oh man.
obama’s idea of what it is to be a Supreme Court Justice is completely off!
This guy doesn’t have a clue.
I don’t know why the media keeps saying he’s so smart. I don’t see that.
Well, off to work! I’ll try to catch up with the thread when I get there!
Oh, no! Did you get anything worthwhile for your trouble?
Hmmmm . . . that turkey looks good.
Nice pics; looks like you have a great family.
