Just because one party’s candidate is invalidated doesn’t invalidate the whole election. The president would be chosen from the remaining candidates.

The only thing I would add is that Obama wasn’t officially on any ballot ,, just “electors for Obama” ,,, this would invalidate the elected electors and leave just the ones elected for other candidates to vote in January... The next president needs a majority of THOSE votes only ..
