Beautiful photos tonight.

I’d like this photo in Post 9 of the white house, on the toaster I was awarded yesterday.

Thank you! And NO RUSH.

She said if he continues to improve and the chest infection recedes they will be looking to get him mobile within a few days and a plan for the next stage of his treatment will be known by the end of the week.

Praying for that. ((snugs))

Hey,
I never heard of anything like the oxygen problem but when my late mom was in the hospital she complained of seeing snakes, etc when she was wearing a similar tube. Wonder if there were a connection between the oxygen and what she was seeing. Very odd.

Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Oh, our baby had her first trip to the ER last night. She pulled down 2 wooden tv trays and hit her on the forehead. She has a huge knot there. She is such a sweetie that we hate it when something happens to her but this won't be the last bump she gets.

Another thing. I was looking for sites which have 1st Christmas ornaments and came across a site which had I am the big cousin shirts. Think I will order her one to wear when her little cousin gets here.

Get some rest. I know how it is when someone you love is in the hospital.

Thanks for your pic of Dad and your update. FYI - my Mom did the same thing after her surgery in the hospital. She saw trucks and bugs. They told me that it was completely normal for older people to "wig out" mentally after the trauma of the surgery. Mom was mentally better after the second day of my visit. I think she had the wrist surgery on the 6th or 7th and I got there on the 10th, and it wasn't until the 12th that she was mentally "there." At least your Dad knows where you are and can understand what being there tomorrow is. My Mom wanted to see me so badly, that she tried to get out of bed. Your Dad is way more together than that....he's just worried about being alone and needing you to help translate for him. YOU DID THE RIGHT THING! You cannot be any help to him, if you don't get any sleep and cannot make good decisions because of it...or you get all emotional when you shouldn't because of it. He needs you to be strong, and you can't do that without some sleep. You did the right thing, snugs!!!

Prayers are still going to Dad, and you. I still see you two at your place on Christmas my FRiend. I know it can be done. Picture it in your mind...and smile. Big Hugs, NP

DrDeb, THANK YOU! I read your post just in time.....I was so happy for President and Mrs Bush. And, the comments from Tony Blair, the Pres of Rawanda and Bona were wonderful. I wish this was broadcast on all stations.....maybe others would realize what a good man our President is...
God bless President Bush and without him as our leader I pray for America.

Come to think of it....it WAS when the oxygen was able to be taken away that she started coming out of her hallucinating...woooo....that IS true. Perhaps there really is a correlation.

Laura Bush is a very pretty lady, and she has a wonderful sounding voice.

Hi Snugs:

Your Dad looks good and in particular all he has been through.

As far as your dad seeing things and acting confused it is called sundowning. This is not uncommon in people that have been in the hospital particularly intensive care. They have no idea when night or day is and really are not getting enough sleep because someone is always poking and prodding. Medication can do this to him too. Just keep reassuring him and make note the times you are seeing this happen, see if it happens within in a particular length of time after a medication is given.....things are sounding better.....get some rest snugs

Tell your father my husband so sympathizes with over that NG tube. The last time he was in the hospital he had to have one for about 4 days.

And please do try to rest.

just as I was coming home he complained that when he wore his oxygen mask (was he was basically refusing to do most of the day) he saw birds and frogs.

What DID they put in that line? ;o)

Prayers continuing for your Dad. The fact that the incision is healing is a GOOD thing. It sounds like his body is working well to heal itself.

Sara Palin looks pretty, but she looks so great in skirts the pants are a disappointment.

Rick Warren stated that Presiedent Bush has done more than any person for global health due to his AIDS initiative.

An honorable legacy for an honorable man.
