This is why, in the olden days, the Congress would never convene in the summertime months before air conditioning came to Washington. :)
Yeah. And that’s when they actually WORKED and accomplished things.
That would be about 3 or 4 months that Congress would be out. What a wonderful and natural blessing such a summer recess bestowed upon our forefathers.
