Congress must not create a new federal entitlement by bailing out state and local governments from budget deficits.

You are completely correct my FRiend.

As one who spent many decades working for the govt, I can promise you that the only way to get govt to spend less is to allocate less.

As a young manager at a state university, I once got into big trouble for creating a smaller budget request than was presented for the previous year. Then, I re-did the budget up to the previous level (by going on a shopping spree for wholly unneeded equipment) and I then received compliments from my superiors.

Standard operating procedure in most government offices including the military. As the fiscal year closes in on them there is a flurry of spending. If you don’t spend every dime you can not expect to justify the same or higher budget for next year.

It’s high time these clowns experience real hardship like the American people are now. Unless they are screaming and throwing tantrums these clowns are not cut enough and even then I’d wait for suicides before reversing budget reductions. The waste we can find everywhere is outrageous.
