We the People Foundation's letter to Obama scheduled to run in Chicago Tribune |
The letter, signed by Chairman Robert L. Schulz, is a petition for redress of what the group claims is a violation of the natural-born citizen clause of the Constitution (Article II, Section 1):
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
"Dear Mr. Obama," the letter begins. "Representing thousands of responsible American citizens who have also taken an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States of America, I am duty bound to call on you to remedy an apparent violation of the Constitution. Compelling evidence supports the claim that you are barred from holding the Office of President by the 'natural-born citizen' clause of the U.S. Constitution."
Schulz lists the following reasons citizens are concerned about Obama's status:
We the People said it chose the Chicago Tribune because it is the principal newspaper in president-elect's hometown with more than a half-million readers. Obama is said to be one of them.
This should be good.
Hope Rush is feeling better tomorrow.
From Chicago? I’m floored.
sign WND's petition demanding the release of his birth certificate.
I can’t think of any reason for Obama to refuse to submit his birth certificate except one: he does not have one. Will the American people allow him to assume office without it?
Love to be a fly on the wall when he that hits him in the face while downing his morning coffee.
At his next press conference, obie will say:
“Sure I heard about the ad in the Chicago Tribune. Some of these crazy right wingers want to know if I’m a natural born American. Well, of course I am! I got on the ballot and that couldn’t happen if I weren’t natural born. Ha, ha! Next question.”
PING!!!
Two points:
1. It would cost ten dollars for Obama to get a certified copy of his long form birth certificate, and put all of these questions to rest. He has spent over $ 800,000 in legal fees to avoid having to produce that document.
2. Since the law in Hawaii in 1961 allowed a registration of birth in Hawaii even if the child was born elsewhere, as long as the parent(s) could attest to living in Hawaii for one year prior to the birth, it may have been the plan of Madeline Dunham, in advance, to register her grandson’s birth and put the birth announcement in the paper in the Honolulu paper in August, 1961, to legitimize the birth of her grandson. Having a mixed “marriage” in 1961 was not socially approved, and Madeline Dunham was upwardly mobile in the banking industry.
So, to avoid speculation of the types listed abocve, why not just produce the original birth certificate.
John McCain had no trouble producing his on request.
If it does, I won't be shocked if its buried by the socialist bastards and thier propaganda machine.
Every one of Obama's relatives states a different place of birth; they can't even agree within his family. Combined, there's a half dozen hospitals named as his place of birth. Yet, not a single named hospital in Honolulu will confirm he was born there, they in fact refute it and say there is no record of him or his parents being there at all. So each hospital in Hawaii denies Obama was born there. So Barry, what were the circumstances of your birth? Why hide the facts?
