An alternative approach - India and the US announce that any state that is found to be providing any monetary aid or transacting any money with anybody in Pakistan will be blacklisted by them.
It will take less than a month before the country falls apart.
There are dams in India across all major rivers that flow into Pakistan. India can threaten to cut off water supply. Anyway its winter and there usually isn’t enough water in the rivers (snow not melting fast enough). So cutting the flow shouldn’t create too much of a problem for India.
The problem is the US needs access to Aghanistan through Pakistan - it it weren’t for that, I’d say we should let India nuke the Pakis into the stone age.
