A primary school infuriated parents after cancelling the traditional Christmas nativity play to make way for the Muslim festival of Eid. Parents at the Nottingham school were told that the planned performance had to be pulled because some of the pupils wanted to celebrate Eid at home with their families. In a letter, sent by the staff at Greenwood Junior School, mothers and fathers were told: 'It is with much regret that we have had to cancel this year's Christmas performances.
'This is due to the Eid celebrations that take place next week and its effect on our performers.' However, following a barrage of complaints, a second letter was issued saying the show had 'not been cancelled outright' but has been postponed until the New Year. The follow-up letter, sent by headteacher Amber Latif and chair of governors Yvonne Wright, apologised for the 'misunderstanding' caused by the first correspondence.
It read: 'We are a very inclusive school and fully respect the cultures and religions of all the children. 'We are upset to know that some of our parents/carers have been offended by the letter. 'The Christmas performance has not been cancelled outright but has been postponed until the New Year.'

This must be about two years old. This year Ramadan and Idul Fitri (Indonesian spelling) did not coincide anywhere near Christmas.
Why not postpone EID until Passover?
I would be even more offended by the fact that I had my child in a school that would blatently LIE to me in writing.
There was no "confusion." They cancelled the Christmas activity. They "uncancelled" and rescheduled it only after they were called to the carpet.
Then they lie about the whole episode and act like people overreacted to something that wasn't even a real issue.
Some British already do. Especially the entertainers. They speak out about it, sometimes in the British press.
I could see police in the US giving drunk women flip flops or some other flats at a bar. So they could drunk test them (walk a line) and eliminate the excuse of “heels”.
Actually, they ought to postpone the EID “celebration” until after Hannukah, which falls this year from Sunday evening, Dec. 21 until Dec. 29. I’m sure the Muzzies will understand and appreciate the need, given their known penchant for tolerance and diversity. Then they can get back to the business of destroying one of the world’s oldest democracies.
Don’t call us next time you need saving, you spineless tea-sippers. You have forfeited your right to exist, and generations of courageous Englishmen are rolling over in their graves as you sell out to the Muslims.

"Parents/carers" is such a vomit-inducing example of PC overcomplicating!
(Non gendered, non-denominational, lower case "g") god forbid some non-traditional, non-breeder be offended by the use of the term "parent" when referring to the adult who has become the overseer of some young charge by some other means than actual human birth.
Don’t be surprised when you see the same thing here in the US one day....unless our people standup to be counted.

I was thinking about this yesterday when I learned that a Catholic school had to install foot baths for the filty muzzies. We (Christians) should make a request equal to every request that the ROP folks make. You want foot bathes? We want crosses in the mosques. You want prayer time, we want prayer time. You want to wear your turban? We will wear our JESUS SAVES tshirt.
By then it's not exactly a Christmas performance, is it?
The letter read:'Dear Parents, but due to Political CORRECTNESS running AMUCK in the UK, we are now kissing the REARENDS of Muslims so they won't blow up anything, so we have to cancel Christmas, eventhou Christians are still in the MAJORITY here in the UK.
We are sorry that our leaders are AFRAID of the TERRORISTS in the UK, but remember Jesus said to turn the other cheek while they - the Camel loving Terrorists - would bomb things if they are upset. Thank you for your understanding and letting SOCIALISTS run the government.'

I used to feel sorry for them, but they keep voting in Labour like clockwork. Apparently they are just fine with it.
According to other newspapers, Muslim parents are also complaining about this delay because their children wanted to take part in the Christmas play!.
Again, idiotic well meaning, white ‘PC’ liberals seeking to show their ‘inclusive’ credentials create unnecessary hurt and tension. I swear to you that most of the racial and religious tension in the last 40 years in Britain has been caused by the white, middle class, politically correct ‘liberati’, who have created division and tension where no need have existed. And of course, it is not they who suffer the consquences of their idiocy...
