There's nothing about intelligent design in Genesis I. God does everything by fiat. The world functions at His command, not by His design.

Not quite, God planted a garden in Eden. That means, literally, he already had the plants stored somewhere else.

For all us fundamentalist, the Bible is a blueprint of Gods will from beginning to end. If this is so, then it is by design, not fiat. God has given us a concise and coherent path from the past, the now … and the future. Sounds like a design to me.

However, if you don’t believe in the literacy of the Bible, than I can see your point. Don’t agree, but can see your point.
