Ann Romney Diagnosed with Early-Stage Cancer

Ann Romney, the wife of former Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, announced today that she was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer and underwent a lumpectomy to remove the affected tissue.

In a statement, Romney said a lump was discovered last week during her annual mammogram at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She described the discovery as "technically not cancer but rather pre-cancer, as it has not become invasive." Doctors performed the lumpectomy today as an outpatient procedure.

"Mitt and I feel fortunate to have caught this so early," she wrote. "And, it reminds us how important it is for women to have regular mammograms. As in all cases of cancer, early detection is critical. Many families are facing medical hardships -- our hearts go out to all of you and also our wishes for healing holidays."

Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, was a leading contender to be the Republican presidential nominee, but lost that battle to Arizona Sen. John McCain.

How about abortion? A woman's body is unnaturally stopped right in the middle of growing a baby - something's gotta happen, yes?

I’m NOT saying that Mrs. Romney had an abortion, thus her breast cancer. It just seems that there is so much breast cancer today; and there are so darn many abortions. Connection? Heck, Just a guess.

Something I have noticed from reading our local paper's obituaries. Photos usually accompany the obit and so many of these women who have died from breast cancer (and yes they usually make some reference to it) are very beautiful and very feminine. Yes older homely women get breast cancer but most seem to be young and beautiful.
