Life lesson learned in Junior High: if you’re mean to someone and she makes cheerleader, don’t expect her to be your instant best friend. Oprah would do well to remember that little factoid, and not embarass herself by whining. I would think Gov. Palin doesn’t like the concept of being used just to boost Oprah’s ratings.
There’s another “snub” dynamic here at work that’s got to irk Oprah something fierce and helps explain Palin’s reserve toward Oprah — I’ll bet Sarah Palin has never actually watched, nor particularly wanted to watch, an entire Oprah show, or even many clips. She probably doesn’t hang around many, if any, who are Oprah regulars. Palin probably has, like me, about as much visceral interest in Oprah as a nine-year-old boy has in quilting magazines.
