This Weeks Shows:More on the ascension of The One and the failures of McChimpy Bushitler this week. La de da. The valedictory hand off from Secretary Rice to Secretary to be Clinton will be spun as a litany of all of the Bush mistakes that must be fixed, not an acknowledgment of what's been accomplished.
Similarly the talk of the economy will be all the things Bush has done (and is still doing) wrong and all the things The One will do to save us from the evils of capitalism. The emphasis will be on this weeks bailout of the auto union, as well as a preview of the next bailout forced by Bush, the rescue of (blue) states (ruined through no fault of their own).
And this week The One himself deigns to make an appearance on one of the shows. Of course, he chooses to bestow his magnificence on the network that went all in (and then some) in supporting him, NBC. Tom Brokaw has the "big get" interview, likely as a farewell as he is rumored to be handing off to David Gregory as the shows new host, perhaps even at the end of this very show.
It's hard to decide which roundtable will lavish more praise on Obama's cabinet picks so far, CNN or ABC, but it's certain both will be fulsome (if not slobbering) in their praise. And I'll lay odds that the group on ABC will find a way to take a shot at Sarah Palin. Just call it a "hunch." Watch for a backhanded compliment giving her credit for Saxby Chamblis' win because she energized the moron redneck Christian vote, or something to that effect.
The Shadow Cabinet:
On a separate topic, I'm working on a post for later I'll be calling "The Shadow Cabinet," or something similar. In a parliamentary system, like the UK, the party (or parties) that don't hold the government will assign members of their party to be their experts and designated spokesman for each of the major ministries. What this provides is an official opposition person to go on shows like these Sunday shows and to put forward, authoritatively, the other side when the Obama spokesperson puts out the government line on a controversial topic. By not having a formal opposition shadow cabinet we give the media the power to choose our spokesmen, and thus the message, or at least the effectiveness of the messenger, for our side.
I'm wanting to start a discussion of who we this those people should be. Unlike a "real" shadow cabinet there's no requirement that they be current members of Congress, nor that they realistically would get the particular government post when a new conservative president gets elected.
Heres a straight list of the current cabinet positions and the current office holders. I'd like to get this group started thinking about who we'd like to see as our spokesmen or the issues covered by each position. I don't want anything posted or this thread, let will be pinging you all when I get the full post up.

My TV is being turned off all MSM news, Liberal human waste like Letterman, the Oprah, and the rest of the Liberal America haters . I’m boycotting the MSM for the next four years. I’ve had my fill of Liberal BS to last me a lifetime. I “refuse” to watch these domestic terrorists lie to the American people repeatedly. That’s the one freedom I still have. One could say my health depends on it. My blood pressure is maxed out.

Welcome to the Club! I haven’t watched network news for years, cable news for years, and Fox news for almost a year, and never felt better. I’m better informed thanks to the internet, and my intake of information is unadulterated, unless I choose to find what the conservative (correct) view of current events is. I already know more than I ever want to know of what the liberally biassed view of the news is, I’ve had years of being force-fed the swill from the left. I’m better informed than before, and have a much healthier of the “big picture”, especially as a Christian (I don’t sweat the small stuff so much now, it’s easier now to step back and see the “big picture”, and know that it’s all in God’s hands, as He foretold).

You should have given us a barfie alert at the top of this thread!
To: Phsstpok
If Bob Schieffer id going to ask Chris Dodd about what's wrong with the banking system, then the commercial breaks should feature testimonials from OJ Simpson about hotel security in Las Vegas.
If Dodd gets a speaking fee foe this appearance, he should spend it on buying a clue and a better lie than, "I didn't know I was getting a special deal!! Gosh, when did that happen?"

There is only one reason to watch any of this tripe. To see what the leftward leaning commies are up to next. That's the only reason I ever watch these guys to see how they intend to attack capitalism/freedom next.
Know your enemy. Keep him close(Obmama/Hillary)

Thats the one freedom I still have. One could say my health depends on it. My blood pressure is maxed out. Join the crowd. I have been on a boycott of the DBM for about three years now, and don't intend to ever listen to their side of anything. I dreamed up my new tag line this morning as I was eating breakfast. Goes perfectly with the current times.
