Precisely what the Devil does Maistre’s Freemasonry have to do with any of this???

I don't know, I was more interested in his comment.

"Until now,” wrote Joseph Comte de Maistre (1753- 1821), who for 15 years was on a gluten-free diet..."

Less irrelevant, now?

Maybe it is a “dog whistle” reference for the benefit of those who believe the Freemasons to be the authors of all conspiracies against human freedom.

Those of you who are interested in real Conservatism should read de Maistre. WARNING: Most of you won’t like what you find there.

And de Maistre’s Freemasonry has to do with this because Freemasonry is a diabolical conspiracy to take over the world — a conspiracy of which the average Mason is totally unaware.
