$1M SLAP AT SPITZER DAD OVER RACIAL BIAS

The father of disgraced former Gov. Eliot Spitzer suffered his own disgrace yesterday, when a Bronx jury found he discriminated against four black employees and ordered him to pay more than $1 million in penalties.
The jurors took about four hours to decide that racism prompted Bernard Spitzer, 84, to improperly fire a doorman and three porters in 1999 from a building he owned at 150 E. 57th St. in Manhattan.
The jurors ordered him to pay a total of $1.3 million to Anthony Haydenn, 34, Akim Rodriguez, 38, Leanard Boyce, 71, and Treavor Morris, 32.
The men originally filed suit nearly a decade ago, and were hoping to get $8 million from the ex-governor's millionaire dad.
Still, the four men said they were pleased.
"I'm happy," Hayden said. "It's a decision that was long overdue."
"I feel vindicated," Rodriguez added. "We worked hard, we should have [what] we were entitled to."

What’s improperly fired mean?? If someone works for you, you can’t fire them with two weeks notice.
New York is NOT a right to work state. The employer must demonstrate cause when pressed.
Although I love when liberals are the victims of the insane laws they enact, I’d like to know what this story is really about. He fired some people...so?
Was it a black jury?
Spitzer ILLEGALLY finance Eliot’s run for offices, and NEVER got PUNISHED for that, so this case is like OJ’s new case! KARMA, BABY!

If it was in the Bronx, it was hardly white. Most of the jury pool probably spoke Spanish, too.

If Bernie was the father of a GOP former governor this would have been the hot news story of the day for the NY Slimes and WaPo.
The whole legal system is a piece of work! Fired employees should get nothing! This is total madness and adds to the ruin of America.
One word explains it all.
Oh, and we also had to have proof of your right to work, i.e. citizenship. I laugh when liberals act like this is some new disgrace against humanity to require proof of citizenship to work.

Doormen in Manhattan typically pull down $70-$80K (depending on experience) PLUS tips.

The old man is a very wealthy and made his money in NYC real estate. I am sure he is a creep like the son. Frivoulous lawsuit? Maybe. Karma? I am sure of it.
