Caroline Kennedy's interest in Hillary's Senate seat may aggravate the Cuomos

ALBANY - Caroline Kennedy's interest in the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Hillary Clinton could reignite tensions between two political powerhouse families: the Kennedys and Cuomos, political insiders say.

Kennedy's cousin is the ex-wife of Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, who is considered a front-runner for Gov. Paterson's appointment to replace Clinton.

The sudden interest by Caroline Kennedy, daughter of the late President John F. Kennedy and niece to the late Robert F. Kennedy, who once held the seat, throws a titillating wrench into the works, insiders say.

"It's awkward," said one well-known Democrat. "If she's serious, there could be a serious behind-the-scenes war with lots of personal baggage behind it."

Cuomo, whose father, Mario, was a three-term New York governor, was married in 1990 to Kerry Kennedy, Caroline's cousin. The power couple had three children.

In 2003, the two went through a nasty and very public divorce, with the Kennedys believing that Cuomo fed dirt on his wife's extramarital affair to the media.

"Andrew double-crossed my sister," Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was once quoted as saying.

Princess Caroline Kennedy has no relevant experience for this demanding job.

She's never been a "community organizer"!

Keeping in mind that Paterson WILL pick a libDem, who do you think would be the least of the evils that Gov. Paterson might pick?

That’s like asking do you want to die by the noose or a thousand razor blade cuts. The end result is the same.

Kennedy is ydennek spelled backward; you know you’re a ydennek if you’ve got more education than you have good sense, and if the real old guys mumble to each other when you arrive someplace that “we never should have let ole Joe join in the first place.” And you know you’re a ydennek if the eastern establishment doesn’t care what you do or where you do it as long as it is on the mainline between Boston and Richmond.

Well, if BO holds true to form he will tell Kennedy to take the long walk off the same short pier he sent Kerry to.
If BO can ‘diss’ BOTH Kennedy & Kerry during his tenure in the Office of President Elect he may not be entirely bad.
Now if he can only ‘rein in’ Bill & Hillary....ah-wishful thinking....

The customary way to settle this is by duel.

“That’s like asking do you want to die by the noose or a thousand razor blade cuts. The end result is the same.”

They’re are extremely bad, I know.

That’s why I would want Suozzi to be picked because at least he is better on the social issues:

“Monday, November 21, 2005
Suozzi and Spitzer Split on Gay Marriage

Spitzer, who is Jewish, has repeatedly endorsed gay marriages and, while he told The Post he doesn’t plan to sponsor such a measure, he said he’ll sign a gay-marriage bill into law if it is sent to him by the Legislature.

Spitzer also strongly favors abortion rights and is against a ban on late-term, or “partial birth,” abortions.

Suozzi, who is Roman Catholic, opposes gay marriages and backs a ban on late-term abortions.”

In fact, I might contact Gov. Paterson and ask him to pick Suozzi.

Me, too. There’s a name for this sort of thing: celebritocracy. It’s what fuels the Schwartzeneggers, the Frankens, and the Venturas of this country.

What country am I living in? Are either of these people really qualified to be senators? Did Hillary open the door for pretenders? If this is the best America can do, aren't we screwed, somemore?

Where are the Statesmen? Where are those who could represent a state, and not a damned agenda?

Does this mean that Chelsea Clinton, by virtue of her last name, will have a senatorial slot awaiting her someday?

The answer to most of the above questions is: yes. What's funny is I just had an epiphany (a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience..We're all on our own. I repeat, all on our own.

The government has screwed the pooch financially and can't pay it's way out of this mess. People will once again be free to do what they do best: run their businesses and lives without all the interference.

Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty these idiots are broke, and we are 'free at last'.

Funny - no one seems to care what the people of NY think.

We already had one carpetbagger, who despite all her protestations, used the seat as a platform for POTUS candidacy.

Why would I, as an NY’er (upstate no less) support Caroline Kennedy for Senate? Because of her name? what a joke!

Incomplete

Add in:

The Murkowskis
The Udalls
The Bidens
The Levins
The Chafees
The Reids
The Dodds
The Doles

John Edwards was right. There are two Americas - a ruling class which treats high government positions as a family trust with the right of succession; and the rest of us.

Without term limits it won’t stop.

And it also applies in the MSM:
The Wallaces
The Gregorys
The Russerts
The Restons

They need term limits on the MSM too.

I’ve lived 32 years on this earth, but that is long enough to see my native Nassau County turn from a corrupt RINO hellhole (see Tom Gulotta and Ralph Marino) to a corrupt Dem Socialist hellhole. Same goes for Suffolk. Both voted for Obama you know (and Clinton, and Gore, and Kerry)...
