Obama's nation has begun

Obama's nation has begun.

Join the (Patriotic, Resilient, Conservative) Resistance

Welcome to Obama’s nation...

The “transformational” figure who will “change the world” is now in charge, and he’s on a mission. Emboldened by an overwhelming electoral victory and a near-supermajority in Congress, President-elect

Obama and his allies are preparing to implement his liberal, “post-American” agenda. Simply put, what President-elect Obama and the Pelosi-Reid Congress have in store has the potential to rapidly move America to the socialist Left.

1 million citizens resisting...

Who can stop the Obama agenda? Only an unprecedented idea-based Resistance from freedom-loving citizens can prevent the full implementation of Obama’s march to the Left. That’s why Grassfire.org is seeking to identify and mobilize grassroots citizens who will Join The Resistance— an alliance of patriotic, resilient and determined conservatives who will not forsake their principles. Our goal? One million citizens joining together by Inauguration Day, January 20, 2009.

It’s really an Obamabot front group collecting names of opponents for future action.

Fear everything!

grassfire.org is a legit organization. I used to be a member of it, but we needed to cut back to a few to support, and not everybody.

Obama's nation has begun

Do WHAT?

He isn't even the president-elect yet.

HE HAS NO LAWFUL AUTHORITY! --not until he is sworn in, and that will be dubious depending on whether or not he has disclosed the documents which will clear up questions about his citizenship.

Talk about presumptuous twits.

As for resistance, to borrow from a fictional character, 'Resistance is as resistance does.'

The new ones who show up at the meeting screaming "Blow it up!" and "Burn it down!" are usually the government informants.

Somebody, somewhere, at some time, will have to lay things on the line to preserve (what’s left of) the Country.

This tone is not present in Grassfire’s material on line.

Grassfire is not new, actually.

So far, aside from refusing to present his (probably dodgy, possibly foreign) Birth Certificate, His Excellency has done nothing deserving of being Resisted: and far less deserving of having anybody, anywhere laying things on the line against him.

Possibly that time might one day come: but it ain’t here and now. That’s just silly talk.

From what I have seen of the first part of the article, citing the arrival of a nation whose leader is as yet devoid of any lawful authority seems premature.

Perhaps they are not new. Perhaps they are not collecting a database for the IRS to audit or other agencies and officers of the Government to pursue. I have heard of them before, and perhaps by my suspicion I wrong them.

As for the statement:

“The new ones who show up at the meeting screaming “Blow it up!” and “Burn it down!” are usually the government informants.”, this has been proven time and again to be the case, whether or not it applies in this case.

But what a wealth of data could be gathered if everyone were to

Simply complete this form...

Now, I have heard, as I said, of Grassfire, and especially on the Border and illegal immigration.

Perhaps I am being unfair, but I would think twice before I listed family members by name anywhere on the web.

YMMV

From what I am seeing, there is nobody in charge in the White House at present in any practical way.

With Reid and Pelosi already in office and in the highest Congressional positions, and already preparing the way for Obamanesque legislation, whi IS in charge. It appears Obama is conducting more press conferences than the sitting president.

We are in slightly more than a “transition.”

The nearly bullet proof legislation of the next Congress is already being prepared with great velocity.

Who IS in charge?

We seem to be willing to give the same ID information to any government agency that asks for the same.

I don’t believe we are too early for a concerted resistence. We should have been resisting already . . . more than 20 years ago . . . what we saw is coming down the pike.

According to my lights, the distilled question can be stated this way:

In 1961, would the United States government consider a child born in Hawaii of an American mother and a UK subject to have dual citizenship?

What might be helpful to the cause is if a lot of people were to pose this question to their local office of the State Department in their respective cities. I’m in Boston, so I can do it here.

What do you all think? Where are you located? Are you willing to pose this question - in writing or in person - in order to further the effort to arrive at an understanding of the true circumstances of Obama’s citizenship?

Let’s do it! Or do you see a flaw in my “magic question”?

[Background: I did read on a non-government site something about how the U.S. recognition of dual citizenship had changed in the last ten years, so perhaps in 1961, it wasn’t recognized. But it’s hard to believe that Obama Sr. would have been prevented from exercising his parental right to take the child to Kenya if he so chose. In that case, I cannot believe the U.S. would have prevented him and said it was because Obama Sr. did not give UK allegiance to his son at birth.

Here’s the site: http://www.uscitizenship.info/citizenship-library-dual.htm

And here’s the text:

4. I heard that the US and Canada don’t allow Dual Citizenship. Is this true?

This is incorrect. Both the US and Canada now allow their citizens to hold multiple citizenships. Most references to the contrary are out of date since this has been resolved for at least ten years in the case of the United States and over twenty in the case of Canada. Note that the respective governments often couch dual citizenship in negative terms as few governments like to lose control over their citizens.]

—–

Of course, we know that this is the text today:

http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1753.html

Dual Nationality

The concept of dual nationality means that a person is a citizen of two countries at the same time. Each country has its own citizenship laws based on its own policy.Persons may have dual nationality by automatic operation of different laws rather than by choice. For example, a child born in a foreign country to U.S. citizen parents may be both a U.S. citizen and a citizen of the country of birth.

A U.S. citizen may acquire foreign citizenship by marriage, or a person naturalized as a U.S. citizen may not lose the citizenship of the country of birth.U.S. law does not mention dual nationality or require a person to choose one citizenship or another. Also, a person who is automatically granted another citizenship does not risk losing U.S. citizenship. However, a person who acquires a foreign citizenship by applying for it may lose U.S.
citizenship. In order to lose U.S. citizenship, the law requires that the person must apply for the foreign citizenship voluntarily, by free choice, and with the intention to give up U.S. citizenship.

Intent can be shown by the person’s statements or conduct. The U.S.
Government recognizes that dual nationality exists but does not encourage it as a matter of policy because of the problems it may cause. Claims of other countries on dual national U.S. citizens may conflict with U.S. law, and dual nationality may limit U.S. Government efforts to assist citizens abroad. The country where a dual national is located generally has a stronger claim to that person’s allegiance.

However, dual nationals owe allegiance to both the United States and the foreign country. They are required to obey the laws of both countries.
Either country has the right to enforce its laws, particularly if the person later travels there. Most U.S. citizens, including dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States. Dual nationals may also be required by the foreign country to use its passport to enter and leave that country. Use of the foreign passport does not endanger U.S.
citizenship. Most countries permit a person to renounce or otherwise lose citizenship.

Information on losing foreign citizenship can be obtained from the foreign country’s embassy and consulates in the United States. Americans can renounce U.S. citizenship in the proper form at U.S. embassies and consulates abroad.

I agree.

Now a wayback.

Some of 'Mom's Rules of Political Resistance'.

Have lots of groups, even if they are small, because that way you get more people up to the microphone.

Never sit all together, disperse throughout the hearing room so you can appear to be all over when the questions are asked (small groups look larger).

Follow up on each other's questions.

Take notes. (Now people record stuff).

More groups also means more plaintiffs if it comes to that.

Use the press, even when they think they are using you.

Give out as little personal information as possible.

Each group has ONE spokesperson, everyone else refer the press to them, and spokespersons get together beforehand to anticipate questions and prevent contradictions.

Bring/buy/prepare your own food and beverages. Never let anyone from the oppostion bring you so much as coffee (yep it got that ugly).

Respect everyone, trust no one you have not known personally for years, and not even them completely.

Compartmentalize at least some information, especially when you suspect you have a turncoat/someone who talks too much. What gets out will point to the traitor/blabbermouth.

If nothing gets out, you may be OK.

Now, this was long before the internet, but the basics have not changed.

I have no problem with resisting, but there are ways to do it, and in the face of what could be a very ugly America in the near future, and with no one to liberate the camps but 'us', I'd be careful about unnecessary personal exposure.

I ran into this site a month or so ago. The site gave no information that I could find as to who they were etc. so I wrote and asked them. I got this in return:

Welcome to Grassfire.org!

Thank you for your interest in Grassfire.org—one of the nation’s fastest growing conservative online action networks involving more than 1 million citizens across the nation.

As a non-profit 501c(4) organization, our goal is to rally and equip concerned citizens to take a proactive stand on the key issues of the day. As an organization, we are committed to developing cutting-edge tools that enhance the power and influence of grassroots citizens. We were among the first to utilize email networks to generate fast-growing bases of support for issues. As a result, the impact of our grassroots partners is felt every day in the public policy debate.

Your petitions… delivered
Since 2000, Grassfire has been motivating and mobilizing grassroots citizens to get involved—by signing petitions, making phone calls, sending faxes, visiting elected officials, and growing their own circle of influence by motivating those around them to get involved and take action as well.

Grassfire also conducts grassroots lobbying on behalf of our team and has developed a reputation on Capitol Hill for our ability to bring real grassroots pressure to issues. Grassfire representatives have delivered more than 60 million petitions to elected officials and other leaders. In all, our team members have made tens of millions of personal contacts via phone, fax, email and more.

As a result of the impact our team members are having, Grassfire’s efforts have been featured by many leading national media outlets including: New York Times, Fox News, CNN, NBC News, MSNBC, CNN Headline News, Glenn Beck, Neil Cavuto, Dallas Morning News, Alan Colmes Show, Drudge Report, Michael Reagan, and Lou Dobbs Tonight.

Teaming with you on your issues
As a grassroots conservative organization, Grassfire.org takes on the key issues of the day as they impact conservatives. From border security and immigration to tax cuts and stopping pork barrel spending, Grassfire is giving citizens a voice in the debates which are shaping our nation.

As Sen. Jim DeMint said recently following a press event and petition delivery on Capitol Hill with Grassfire.org regarding pork barrel spending, “Grassfire has done a great job and has done a great service to the American people and to Congress by making such a strong statement.” Case Studies on Grassfire’s impact.

Expanding your impact through media
Grassfire is also expanding the impact of our team members with award winning media campaigns that are resonating in the public debate. Our TV and radio ads have reached over 75 million people while nationwide billboard campaigns have been seen coast-to-coast.

These campaigns are literally framing the debate. For example, in 2006 our “Stop The Invasion” billboards helped create the terms of the debate while Congress tried to pass amnesty legislation. One year later, Grassfire’s award-winning “Where’s The Fence?” TV spots — featuring three old ladies looking for the border fence — became the catch-phrase for opponents of D.C.’s amnesty plan.

Grassfire has also produced over 700,000 booklets and other printed resources to support our websites which attract hundreds of thousands of visitors each month.

Given the sheer power and influence a team of more than one million strong can marshal at any given time, it’s little wonder why Grassfire has become a key force in the battle to protect and preserve conservative values.

Over the last number of years, we’ve developed a network of conservative citizens who have proven to efficiently and effectively shape our nation. Moving forward, we continue developing creative ways to give team members to a voice that resonates loudly throughout our nation!

I have seen this Elliot guy on FOX, and it does seem like a legit organization, I just am not comfortable with them asking for so much information about a person up front before they ever tell us what they intend to do or what they want us to do etc.

A little more explanation is in order here.

I grant you he has done nothing YET. But do we wait until he does before we organize? That doesn’t seem too smart to me.

Besides I have this ugly feeling that come the day after the inauguration we are going to feel like we have been carpet bombed. Wouldn’t it be better to be organized before that happens?

collecting names of opponents for future action.

You know not, the wisdom of which you speak.

Americans are unique in their quest for individual liberty and freedom. Not common by any means in the world. What makes us different is a genetic adaptation, also not common.

Take your average hard working Mexican. Toils all day regardless of the heat and out-works the average Gringo 2/1. What does he have going for him that you don't- I'll tell you: thousands of years of selective genetics, that's what.

His ancestors killed-off anyone who questioned authority. They pulled beating hearts out of sacrifices for public consumption. Try that today in America.[Graphic warning: this will take place in America and Waco and Ruby Ridge were only the start]

Sadly, our Republic has been watered-down by genetic reprobates unfamiliar with liberty and freedom to such an extent we find ourselves where we are today: subject to possibly the least competent administration that has ever graced the earth.

Be forwarned liberty seekers, they'll be coming for you as certain as I type this. They have to. For, they cannot succeed in your presense and killing patriots will be a pea-shoot for them with their intelligence in this age of information.

There are things that you'd like to leave to your children and grandchildren, but it won't be genetic if these people have their way. They can't succeed in such an enviornment. You may have signed a death warrant for your kids and grandkids by simply being of a freedom minded persuasion.

What they must have are drones of no political persuasion and no desire for liberty. The quickest route toward this end is destruction of all who hold 'these truths to be self evident'. The people will get the message if you rip the living heart out of a teenage girl who may have dissed her parent/state. Maury Pauvich and Jerry Springer currently hold the signs to the cattle cars.

What stops Obama from using information on the FRee Republic to break up whatever “organization” you’ve put together in advance? He’d be stupid not to.

That’s not how the Free French set up the Resistence. That’s a model that worked extremely well.
