If Rod Blagojevich were a Republican, what's the over-under on the number of times the network morning shows would have mentioned that fact in their coverage today?
But Blago is a Democrat. So how often did Today, Good Morning America and the Early Show flatly identify him as such during their opening half-hours today? Not once. The closest any came were references at Today and Early Show today to "Democratic politics." As far as I could tell, GMA was entirely D-free. And it was there that George Stephanopoulos put in the most embarrassingly sycophantish performance of the morning.

Blago: morning shows dance around D-word ping to Today show list.
....But the talkradio show hosts were having a ball yesterday on hearing the news.
Yesterday morning when none of the big 3 stations identified his political affiliation, I assumed he was a ‘D’. This corruption case, as it winds through the courts, will get very little national attention, and we’ll never seen the MSM take an adverse editorial stand. And the closed it gets to Obama, the less we’ll hear of it.
George Stephanopoulos, is a poster boy as to why the news industry is losing its ass.
They take an insider from the Clinton camp and make him a leading spokesperson for a network.
Then you expect this biased joke to be impartial?
If George Stephanopoulos said the sun was coming up in the east, I’d check it out cause I do not believe ANYTHING this turd or any like him say on any subject.
George Stephanwhatshisface is the king of “Nothing to see here. Move along.”
I don't remember seeing any glowing puff pieces about any Republican's caught up in scandal, do you?
What a load of crap.
BTTT
I should be used to this, but I'm totally disgusted.
Its accepted by the general public that only Republicans get identified as such when bad things happen, like wide stances in restrooms.
That said, its going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Really interested in Axelrod’s comments just last week about Obama talking with Blago, now said to be ‘misspeaking’....(chuckle)
Don’t get too down on yourself. More and more people are seeing the difference in the terms “criminal”, “Democrat”, and “Chicago Politics” as non existent and redundant. The press is no longer even pretending to have a very left bias, and with the pending “fairness doctrine” legislation it just might bite them in the ass.
...no longer pretending NOT to have a very left wing bias...
I better proof read my stuff better, sorry.
Hussein and his good pal Blag.
He was identified by party this morning on NPR.
Correcting myself: neither Diane Sawyer nor Robin Roberts used the D-word, and nowhere was Blago flatly identified as “the Democratic Gov. of IL,” but reporter Jim Avila did speak of “a president-elect and a governor from the Chicago Democratic machine.”
...and Morning Joe really surprised me when Mike—of all people—wasn’t quite so sure that B. Hussein was totally in the clear on this. But Mike Barnicle—living up to his reputation as the stupidest human on TV—immediately dismissed any connection between Blago and BHO.
I saw Mancow on Fox and Friends saying that Chicago folks are speculating that BO was up to his armpits in this, that no one rises so fast in Chicago politics unless their dirty and the “friends” would have none of it.
The MSM types were all breathing a sigh of relief that their hero Obama wasn’t blatantly caught on tape in this mess. Now they’re saying that Obama should be praised for refusing to play ball with Blago. I think Blago just didn’t have enough to offer up.
