How many failed predictions, discredited assumptions and evidence of incorrect data are required before an idea loses credibility? CO2 is not causing warming or climate change. It is not a toxic substance or a pollutant. Despite this President Elect Obama met with Al Gore on December 9 no doubt to plan a climate change strategy based on these problems. They make any plan to reduce of CO2 completely unnecessary.
Proponents of human induced warming and climate change told us that an increase in CO2 precedes and causes temperature increases. They were wrong. They told us the late 20th century was the warmest on record. They were wrong. They told us, using the infamous hockey stick graph, the Medieval Warm Period (MWP) did not exist. They were wrong. They told us global temperatures would increase through 2008 as CO2 increased. They were wrong. They told us Arctic ice would continue to decrease in area through 2008. They were wrong. They told us October 2008 was the second warmest on record. They were wrong. They told us 1998 was the warmest year on record in the US. They were wrong it was 1934. They told us current atmospheric levels of CO2 are the highest on record. They are wrong. They told us pre-industrial atmospheric levels of CO2 were approximately 100 parts per million (ppm) lower than the present 385 ppm. They are wrong. This last is critical because the claim is basic to the argument that humans are causing warming and climate change by increasing the levels of atmospheric CO2 and have throughout the Industrial era. In fact, pre-industrial CO2 levels were about the same as today, but how did they conclude they were lower?

It’s been long understood that discarding data that doesn’t fit a hypothesis will always prove the hypothesis. For centuries, non government schooled sixth graders possessed the basic intelligence to understand that the weather changes from day to day, season to season, and from location to location. Most sixth graders used to be smart enough to know that climates have changed throughout history before man existed. Perhaps someday, scientists will become smarter than sixth graders, politicians never will.

Add NYT's Klugman to that list, as to the economy.
Graphs don’t show in the link. Have you got another link where we can see them?
The scientific evidence for human induced climate change based on increased CO2 levels is sorely lacking and the assumptions used by Al Gore et. al. are either poor interpretations of actual data or data that has been massaged to fit the man caused climate change model. More and more evidence is piling up that the whole Gore hypothesis of CO2 driven and man caused global warming is outright false. However global warming has nothing to do with scientific evidence and is simply a cult belief.
Go to the link given by Techster (post #7). I chose the PDF download and i think the graphs you want are in that PDF. Good luck !

That’s an important post.
Of COURSE Al Gore believes in global warming; every time someone buys a carbon offset, he makes another million dollars from his global warming partnership. What a farce!
IMO, what’s striking about global warming skepticism at this point is that there no longer new arguments, we are down to a handful of people like Dr. Ball who are repeating a handful of criticisms which are now getting on toward a decade old, and which have been examined and dismissed by virtually all climate researchers - every one of the points he makes that article fall into this category.
So by this point Dr. Ball serves mostly as an illustration of the unfortunate truism than in one sense science “advances one death at a time”: some people are possessed of a certain sort of cussedness that just absolutely prevents them from processing new information once they made up their minds, and they will go to their graves believing that they are right, and everyone else is just simply wrong.
Once they are gone there’s nobody to replace them, and their particular convictions disappear from contemporary science.
It’s a sort of a sad process on the personal level, but it’s been repeated over and over literally dozens of times in the history of science and technology over the last 200 years.
