[RECOMMEND- SEE Full 2 minute video at site. Powell tells future}

In an interview with CNN- General Colin Powell said of Gov. Sarah Palin:

"Gov. Palin, to some extent, pushed the party more to the right, and I think she had something of a polarizing effect when she talked about how small town values are good. Well, most of us don’t live in small towns. And I was raised in the South Bronx, and there’s nothing wrong with my value system from the South Bronx."

"And when they came to Virginia and said the southern part of Virginia is good and the northern part of Virginia is bad. The only problem with that is there are more votes in the northern part of Virginia than there are in the southern part of Virginia, so that doesn’t work. "

**********************

As per the video, that's an exact quote. Now, if if the southern part is "good" and the northern part is "bad"--- what are you telling me Mr. Powell- that a principled people should relent to the "bad" because they have more votes????

Good Lord.-

Powell can take scraps of Obama’s table now, his views mean less then -0- to any thinking Conservative.

The more I hear him speak these days, the more my respect for him becomes like the stock market when Obama is running his mouth.

Colin Powell is a traitor and has tarnished any good legacy he might have had. What a despicable human being.

Let me say it: The "small town values" Palin spoke about ARE better than the "values" of the big molochs and the Bronx!

I have nothing but contempt for that traitor powell.

Small town is an adjective of the values SP was talking about. Not the location you have to live in to have them.

What a sensitive arse especially being a man of war, or at least he used to be.

Please note he said repeatedly that McCain was attacking Obama as a Moslem, when McCain in fact stayed completely away from anything like that.

Now he is criticizing someone for saying small town values are a good thing. Incredible.

Powell is just jealous that he never made it to the VP spot.

Powell doesn’t seem to have a value system. Palin does.

Pity. I used to have high regards for Powell. He was never a conservative but this disappoints me further. Heused to stir clear of political commentary but I believe now he’s paving the way to his natural habitat——the Democrat party.

Sorry, but I live in a big city, and I KNOW that small town values are better than the ones we have here. That does not mean that everyone in a big city has terrible values, but on the whole, I’ll take small town values over large city values any day.

I was raised in Philadelhpia. Yet I consider “small town” values more authentically American. When I think of “America”, I picture small towns and the West. I don’t why.

"And I was raised in the South Bronx, and there’s nothing wrong with my value system from the South Bronx.”

Wanna bet on that? Let's look at the percentages for crime, homelessness, two-parent families, and church attendance, “Mr. Colin Blow.”

I'll put the average small town up against the South Bronx, any day on values.

RINO!

Palin also was discussing the value of small towns because the dems were mocking her for having been “only” a small town mayor.

But Colon is right, we can see the Chicago Illinois political value system is on a par with small town virtue. /s

Hey General Powell, maybe Oprah will have you on for a bitching session and thereafter you can go have a mint julep with some corrupt Washington elites. I’d rather have a moose burger and beer with the Palin family...
