Great cartoon!
At the very least, Obammy is forced to play defense a month before even getting in office.
IIRC the Clintoons had several months before the stench was universally noticed.

Guys, look.

We have a legitimate shot now in 2010 by running once again as the reform party. Let’s not squander opportunities AGAIN. The whole point of winning elections is to make the changes that we need.

Nope, just suggesting that the forum's Obama apologists will.

I have not encouraged folks to make much out of the Birth Certificate stuff. You probably see me as an "Obama Apologist" because of my opinion of the CoLB Truthers. These are completely different situations/scandals. One situation is an ongoing situation with many high ranking Democrat officials participants. The other situation may have happened almost half a century ago so the average person who does not obsess about politics will not care about the CoLB aka Constitutional Crisis. Yes it is an important thing, but most people think if John McCain and most of the people involved in his campaign did not think it was worthy of mention during the campaign then the overwhelming number of our fellow citizens will think this is only the mean old racist Republicans trying to steal another election.

This is something people are very concerned about. A recent survay conducted by Zogy for UCSB demonstrated clearly that the number one thing voters cared about was honesty. Obama is percieved as a nicer, more honest fresh young face. I am not hoping Obama is indicted. That would seem like another Republican Dirty trick. I want most of the people who voted for him to see him as he really is, just another lying politician out to feather his own nest. I want the conservatives to win as big as they did in 1994. I want Barack Obama to have trouble enacting any legislation because the entire nation is disgusted by him. I want to retake the House and Senate in 2010 and I want to do it because the GOP is offering ideas that will work and make sense and reward good behavior. Then I want to unify behind a strong candidate in 2012 who will win in a landslide bigger than when Reagan beat Carter.

The Liberal wing of the Republican Party is grateful for your unconditional support.

So let's not see if his actual birth certificate exposes him as a liar?

You have no faith in our system? I have perfect faith. I am perfectly sure that nothing will come of what is obviously a criminal accessory to felonious behavior on the part of “The One”. This will be just the first of many crimes “The One” will perpetrate and glide away from.

ROD BLAGOJEVICH asked what he can get from the President-elect for the Senate seat. ROD BLAGOJEVICH stated that Governor General Counsel believes the President-elect can get ROD BLAGOJEVICH's wife on paid corporate boards in exchange for naming the President-elect's pick to the Senate. Governor General Counsel asked, "can [the President-elect] help in the private sector. . . where it wouldn't be tied to him? . . .I mean, so it wouldn't necessarily look like one for the other." ROD BLAGOJEVICH's wife suggested during the call that she is qualified to sit on corporate boards and has a background in real estate and appraisals. ROD BLAGOJEVICH asked whether there is something that could be done with his wife's "series 7" license in terms of working out a deal for the Senate seat. ROD BLAGOJEVICH stated that he is "struggling" financially and does "not want to be Governor for the next two years."

This sounds like the Obama people wanted an exchange of favours with plausible deniability locked in. Sounds like they aren't stupid. Corrupt yes, but not stupid.

ROD BLAGOJEVICH said that the consultants (Advisor B and another consultant are believed to be on the call at that time) are telling him that he has to "suck it up" for two years and do nothing and give this "m***f*** [the President-elect] his senator. F*** him. For nothing? F*** him." ROD BLAGOJEVICH states that he will put "[Senate Candidate 4]" in the Senate "before I just give f*** [Senate Candidate 1] a f*** Senate seat and I don't get anything." (Senate Candidate 4 is a Deputy Governor of the State of Illinois).

This sounds like Obama's people weren't willing to pay the upfront price Blagojevich wanted. Obama's people wanted something "where it wouldn't be tied to him". It doesn't sound like their is going to be anything here that we can tie to Obama given the media phalanx he has riding guard for him.

Original news reports of this Blago indictment on a Chicago Fox News affiliate said that the Chitown scuttlebutt was that it was Emanuel that went to Fitzgerald and informed the Feds of this bribery request that Blago had made.

Maybe Rahm did the right thing - maybe.

Can someone please tell me if this is part of the conversation where Blago is told he has to “suck it up for a couple years” so the President elects fingerprints will not be on a quid pro quo ? I dont see how this could be helpful to Obama if it was. All I see are Bits of these conversations.
I thought there was a part of a conversation where Blago was told he had to wait a couple years and that is where he went off and started with all the expletives because he did not trust Obama ,that does not exonerate obama that just puts him or his messenger right in the middle of it
