Actually, I'm looking to help and have contacted a person with the church to offer 50% off to over 65/disabled. I really want to help those being screwed by local contractors. I won't go into detail, but I hope to lower local contractor costs even at my expense.
I think that you will likely do just fine with your skills. Especially in your geographic location. Retirees do not relocate because they are interested in hanging out with exotic bugs and high humidity. There is no shortage of folks moving into the area either.
If you can actually fly that airplane (in your profile image) then it is clear that you have the sort of inate abilities that will serve you well in just about all endeavors.
