All that the nation’s founders understood two centuries ago about the imperative of limited government, all that we learned from the long struggle between collectivism and free markets during our own time—all this could soon simply evanesce.

We are being asked to unlearn what we know, to surrender the virtues that can only be acquired in conditions of freedom, and to become a lesser people than we are. The land of the free and the home of the brave could soon be transformed into the land of the dependent and the home of the infantilized.

The RINO quislings have betrayed us all.

The RINO quislings have betrayed us all.

Responsibility must be shared by anyone who has not started a newspaper, substitute-teach or volunteer in a public school, or some similar activity.

From the article: “We may have won the intellectual battle,” [Milton Friedman ] said, “but in practical politics, it’s difficult to see that we’ve had any effect at all.”

As many hate for me to point out, sitting in an ivory tower or think tank and publishing another white paper is merely singing "Sack of Ilium" and strumming the lyre. The left has quite effectively taken over most of the institutions that maintain and convey our culture and ideas. Show business? Of course. News Media? Check. Public Schools? You betcha!

The fact is, today, even highly educated (in a relative sense) people are quite ignorant of these issues, and further, don't see why they should have cause for concern.

The future is scary...very scary.
