I an amazed at the universal and unanimous scoffing at the concept of global warming on this site There is balance here, just no koolaid drinkers that believe that Gore knows anything about science. Nobody with any clue about the science would listen to Gore (except a few lickspittles working at NASA).
On the ice issue, there is definitely a long term downward trend in ice in the Arctic, but not Antarctic so there is (or was) northern hemisphere warming for a couple of decades. Whether 2007 was the low point or not is anybody's guess, but the idea of arctic ice disappearing is a nonstarter. No serious global warming scientist would promote that idea for the short run (i.e. five years).

This is why so many scoff at Algore. He is a lair, period! We are informed on the subject.
A careful look at these images will clearly show that sea ice has
increased in both coverage and thickness in the last 3 years.
Go to the
source of the information.
There has not been any significant sun spot activity for several months. It is the sun, not CO2 that is driving climate change.
Solar and Heliospheric Observatory
Algore and his ilk are running a huge scam!
