But The Sunday Telegraph has learned that scores of young Muslim men have disappeared from the central Indian city of Hyderabad, suspected of leaving for Pakistan to be trained by the countrys Islamist terror groups.
As many as 40 potential recruits are reported to have left the city - which has a large Muslim minority - under extremist guidance, while many other young men cannot be traced.

OPINION:
I not a fan of the Big Zero, but I sure don’t want to see jihad played out here.
As an aside, the BO seems to be clueless when he’s discussing wot/gwot/terrorism in general.
Now, that’s a gut wrencher.
Speaking of “disappearing”...

It is not just India facing a Pakistani terrorist problem.
The UK has a pretty similar problem with Pakistan.
Please see Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s comment of his countries Pakistani connected terrorist problem at this post :

Pakistan has fully emerged as the epicentre of Global Jihadi Islamic Terrorism.
It seems in America and England there are yutes that are disappearing to Pakistan to give up all the knowledge they have of their respective former areas of residence. Just ONE kid that had attended a college or university, undercover, so to speak .. can give up tons of data gleaned from the library/resource center.
Those of us that wisely fear ... are Awake, Aware and Armed.
Hey .. I like that .. AAA.
I dunno. There's something about these kinds of stories that just doesn't ring true. To wit: According to the 2007 World Almanac the city of Hyderabad, India has a population of 6,800,000+ people. That's nearly seven million people! that's more than some States here in the U.S. And yet forty (40) for missing -- heck, let's multiply it by 10 and say four hundred (400) -- go "missing", and might be heading to Pakistan.
Good lord, that's forty (or four hundred) young men out of a pushing-and-shoving urban, 3rd world population of nearly seven million people and it makes international news!? How would authorities even know they were missing? Why would they care? We're talking 40:6,800,000.
I agree with you. Seems like this would an Indian Amber Alert story instead of an international terrorism story.
I guess these youths haven’t been reading Robert Gates press release telling them not to mess with Zerobama...
Just an observation - in traditional families, the sons do not generally leave home to sow oats or wander around. The father and oldest brother are often obeyed and respected even when the (younger) sons are well above the age of majority, and the sons generally live at home with the extended family. Therefore it is possible that a bunch of young men leaving home without notice might indeed attract attention, whereas in a culture like the US it would not. Hindu society especially; and very likely Muslims living in India (former Hindu ancestorship) will likely share those cultural values.
We'd better send an actor in there to infiltrate their ranks.
I understand your skepticism, but unfortunately, if one follows the global jihad and tracking of the same; one understands that 10 of them missing (Mumbai recent attack) or remembers the “magnificent 19” in action (9/11), or the 20 missing in Somalia that doesn’t include the recent AMERICAN Minnesota suicide-homicide bomber and the AMERICAN Seattle jihadi killed in Somalia... these articles do ring true — at least for me.
When these jihadis pop back up with an AK47 and a bomb belt, hopefully we will disappear them again, into a mass grave filled with hog entrails.
Terrorists deserve nothing less and nothing more.
