And yes, the points you raised in post are ones I'd like to discuss but not sure it can or should be discussed in this domain, possible, venue.
I see the effects of "doom & gloom" in my location; but I and mine are in full swing of celebrating the joys of Christmas. It really doesn't cost much; it's about "doing" - the Walk of Faith. We have our lights up, our voices are joined in singing carols, and making cookies, and making bright. We made up our minds to especially make the effort to KEEP THE FAITH in this Christmas tide.
Nothing so enrages a doomer/gloomer as seeing people not being oppressed or depressed by others....
