They did. My favorite part is where he “crys like a girl” four paragraphs down):

http://www.gulf-news.com/region/Iraq/10267331.html

“....Parliamentary reaction was mixed, with some saying Al Zaidi chose the wrong venue for his protest. Others cheered. Al Zaidi remained in detention on Monday, accused by the government of a “barbaric act”. He would be tried on charges of insulting the Iraqi state, said the prime minister’s media adviser, Yasin Majeed.

.....On a more serious note, colleagues of the Iraqi journalist said they are worried about him as they have yet to hear news about him. “They confiscated his mobile, I tried calling him but no answer. No one knows where he is now,” Dr. Abdul Hussain Shaaban, managing director of Al Baghdadiya Satellite TV, told Gulf News. Shaaban, who is also a human rights activist.....

.....An Iraqi government official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said Al Zaidi was being held for questioning by Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki’s guards and is being tested for alcohol and drugs.

...Al Maliki’s security crowded in on him, beating him relentlessly. Mohammed Taher, reporter from Afaq, a TV station close to the ruling government of Al Maliki, described Al Zaidi “crying like a girl.”

“All I can report is that it is a size 10,” Bush joked, as other Iraqi journalists reportedly rushed to apologise for Al Zaidi’s actions.

..........and signs of torture on his thighs.

I wonder what was done to tortures his thighs?

Oh I know....he was dead legged over and over again!!

Guess my five sons are guilty of torturing one another over a period of several years.

I know some fine Arabs, some fine Persians and some fine Jewish people also. I’ve got a lot of Jewish friends and lived in NYC and LA both for a long time.

The joke was told to me by one of my Obama voting Jewish friends. Maybe you should go pick your bone with him.

And then after that, perhaps you could go find or buy yourself a sense of humor.

You definitely don't want to mess with a man's vintage Corvette unless you want your butt kicked.

Hm. Maybe some panties formerly worn by Michael Jackson over his head.

Okay. I definitely grossed myself out there.

Good. Now give the Secret Service a chance to do what they should have done.

Shoot him.

As a matter of fact...yeah...When I was in the service...Totally professional, but they kinda smelled...(inside joke)...

I currently work directly with an Iranian national, who is extremely concerned about this situation...He is one of those Iranians who lives and works here, and does not agree with Aji-Pajama-pants who is runningthe show over there...He just got back from a wedding of a cousin of his in Teheran...He still has close family living over there in that country...

He is probably the only Persian I trust...He has asked, and I have given him advice on what he should tell (and has told them) what they need to do and where to go when the inevitable occurs...

They are prepared...Thats all anyone can do...

So, yeah...The culture over there is a tight one, and those who are outsiders are very much held in contempt, and you should not let your guard down for a second...

As I mentioned earlier, the Marines that have been there (and are going back) say when the locals get caught they beg for the Americans to take them, if the Iraqis take them, they know it won’t be Springsteen.
The Iraqis probably play Yoko Ono.
