Great, more expansionism!

A new way of criminal transport was captured, and overstated by the media reporting that some drug runners are using WW2 style submersibals now with current GPS navigation equipment to get their narcotics abroad. Of course this means terrorists could potentially move weapons, or anything else that kills people beneath the water undetected too, etc.

I wonder how long nefarious people have used military-class submarines for impious motives abroad... 50+ years?

Freeps, that’s simply the evolution of capitalsism throughout the world, include the black markets too, especially in depressed economic times.

Hell I wouldn’t be surprised if a big oil tanker/cruise ship was pirated off the coast of africa by some rebels in a replica 1862 USS Monitor submersible tomorrow. The 18ft skimmer and a 25hp 1986 envinrude loaded with 14 rebels and ak’s don’t quite get-r-done on the pirating front anymore.

If having the most up to date equipment is what your company needs to survive in this market, then you should make all attempts to survive. Take the advice from many business people before you, just do what it takes and hope you don’t get caught.

On all fronts Technology wins baby! And if you want the tech, you gotta write the check!
Who made that statement?
I thought is was Dick Cheney, but after thinking on it more I remembered it might have been Bill Gates.

Then I remembered that I just made the statement up.

I was not hyperventilating. Simply stating that the possibility exists that some idiot might try to use one for non-narcotrafficking ends. Never said that they would succeed, just that they might try. Odds are that could go the way of the Hunley during the trip.
