I had a Christmas card made years ago of me in a bosan’s chair way up near the top of the mast on my sailboat.
The pic was taken so all the other masts were in the pic and it said....Merry Christmas from the sticks

it works a well as my ten tec and has stereo FM
The ten tec is easier to use with freeware software from Clifton J Turner Jr. KF50J, but not $250 dollars better

They are just like meter readers. They only have to pass by once...it's not like they suspect you so they orbit your house continuously.
I did not know they could do it without having the TV on but I lived there in 1988-91 so the technology may have been developed to detect TVs when they are off (although I don't see how that is possible)

They prolly pick up the Local oscillator at about -70 dbm to detect you. I dont see how the could pick up a passive digital receiver. All the IF processing is done digitally.

read up on it and dont believe the BS about the ergonomics.
My brother just got one from me last night and he had it all figured out and raved about the JOG wheel which some complain about in reviews.
The JOG wheel is the only thing I have ever seen anyone gripe about.
The micropecessor in mine has lost its mind twice due to plugging in the PS.
