From the article -
Indeed, Bell urges readers to test his own text. The Bible itself, he writes, is a book that constantly must be wrestled with and re-interpreted. He dismisses claims that "Scripture alone" will answer all questions. Bible interpretation is colored by historical context, the reader's bias and current realities, he says. The more you study the Bible, the more questions it raises.
"It is not possible to simply do what the Bible says," Bell writes. "We must first make decisions about what it means at this time, in this place, for these people."
-snip-
Bell also shakes up traditional evangelical beliefs. While calling Christ's way "the best possible way to live," Bell writes Jesus did not claim one religion is better than another when he said he was "the way, the truth and the life." Rather, he writes, "his way is the way to the depth of reality."
As a follower of Jesus, Bell says, he is free to claim the truth wherever he finds it.
"One of the lies is that truth only resides in this particular community or that particular thought system," Bell says. "I affirm the truth anywhere in any religious system, in any worldview. If it's true, it belongs to God."

It doesn't take me long to understand where someone is coming from and what the origins of that viewpoint are.
This Bell guy, obviously, has been polluted by deconstructionist and postmodern worldviews. These worldviews are definitely not biblical, and this is why he opposes the authority of the Bible.
These worldviews are those that are adhered to by the left, the secular socialist left, and have no place in a Christian's worldview.
Most likely, Bell is an unwitting tool of Satan for the destruction of Christ's church and leading His sheep astray. It is pretty obvious that he is "speaking from the viewpoint of the world."

“Bell writes Jesus did not claim one religion is better than another when he said he was “the way, the truth and the life.”
What part of “NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER BUT THROUGH ME” does Rob Bell not understand? Does he have that statement explained away as not meaning what it clearly means too?
Dear mercy...this is spineless.
TV preachers are just all in it for the money and fame these days. They have no shame.
The only things the Left wants from Christians are votes and tax dollars.
They’ve done a good job of infiltrating churches, especially youth groups. Global warming, social justice, etc.
“Jesus was a Liberal.”
It’s a shame.
Look into "family integrated churches". They are islands of refuge from this liberal rot that's going on in a lot of churches.
And the Bible takes a definite position on that.
I was just reading about 'ministers' like Warren in my devotional today...
Maybe he plans to publicly rebuke the Anointed One..
“won’t”= want (Regurgitated the word “but” if the first paragraph as well)
"Pro-Rick Warren pastor Rick Warren"
There, fixed it.
“Doublespeak”
No how Catholic of me. I believe that every child conceived has the right to live. It appears Warren does not and by your support of this farce, maybe you too. May you and Obama make a happy threesome.
“If your brother sins against you...” Has BHO “sinned” against Warren. I dunno?
“..not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler...” Which one of these is BHO?
Why does this not surprise me?
Warren’s Christianity and his Saddleback Church strike me somewhat as “The Church of What’s Happenin’ Now.” I don’t get the real spiritual Christian connection from him and get the impression he’d compromise Christian principles to get a bigger church. Maybe it’s just me, and I would prefer to be wrong about him.
Not meaning to paint with a broad brush, but this seeker-friendly emergent church social gospel stuff is rampant these days, especially among the so-called mega-churches with super-pastors. It’s a new denomination called The Postmodern Church of Laodicea.
Watered down Christianity isn’t just for the old mainlines anymore.
