Utilities, somebody has to have paid bills for gas, electric and phones.
Newspaper subscriptions, even milk delivery, yes younguns we used to have real milk delivery, oh the good old days.
Also back then almost everybody who made money had a newspaper subscription, there has got to be a newspaper boy alive that remembers.
