Russia will stop developing some strategic weapons if the United States drops plans for a missile shield in Europe, Interfax news agency quoted the commander of Russia's strategic missile forces as saying on Friday.

"If Americans give up plans to deploy the third positioning region and other elements of the strategic missile defense system then certainly we will adequately respond to it," Colonel-General Nikolai Solovtsov said.

I am willing to bet that Putin has the goods on Obama.

Russian intelligence gathering sources are premier, and I can only imagine what kind of blackmail Pooty has in store for Hussein.

It's gonna be a really ugly four years with this idiot running our Republic.

However he responds, you can bet the media will applaud.

If he accepts, they will call him an agent of change who's living up to his message of hope, bringing America back into the international fold.

If he refuses, they will call him a pragmatist, a maverick not afraid to go against the 'far left' (as if they're some extreme group and not representative of the democrat mainstream), and wise for not trusting the former KGB agent Bush allowed to pull the wool over his eyes.

Perhaps Pooty has a copy of the Kenyan’s long form BC?

(Of course The Usurper will use this as an excuse to leave us naked and defenseless.)

Hussein will no doubt believe the KGB. Or he will be told to believe the KGB. And he will obey.

Would the United States allow a missile defense system to be installed in Cuba?

I ask this because it seems to me it would be very hard to verify if missile silos were truly defensive instead of offensive.

Perhaps I’m not understanding something here, but I’m not convinced that Russia isn’t within some rights to be worried about missiles being installed on it’s borders.

I think we would be too.

Has someone got an explanation for why I should see it differently?

Or he will brief the KGB and they will obey: when SMERSH talks, the KGB listens.

This is exactly the offer any one would expect from Russia with respect to an american president who has said that be believes in “dialog” and that he will deploy only weapon systems that are “proven”.

They’ve got the faggots measure.

“Has someone got an explanation for why I should see it differently?”

They really are apples and oranges. The interceptor missiles are small and have no warhead. They just hit the target and use kinetic energy to destroy it. It is not going to be mistaken for a ballistic missile with a warhead which would be much larger.

The problem the Russians have with it is not that it might be offensive but that they think it might actually work defensively and that diminishes their nuclear threat.
