Because they are actually worshipers of Satan and have a blood lust. This is meshed together with believing in population control at all cost. If they don't want to be hypocrites they should be the first to volunteer to annihilate themselves. But they probably think that they have to be here to make sure that there is mass annihilation of others. And of course because they think that THEY are the elite that should repopulate the earth they believe that only they and their progeny should survive.
