Wind energy on land is a get rich quick scheme. And it is being foisted upon us by people who want to make sure the poor stay poor.
It is a fundamental rule on FR that no matter how cogent and accurate the information we do not quote folks whose viewpoint on conservation, sustainability and climate change is unreliable, and of Jared Diamond, there is no question. No matter how smart he might be, and how important what he has to say is for our future, we ignore him. It is a part of the conservative drive towards total and complete ignorance and irrelevancy.
