That’s fine, but I understand Diana’s point of “When you leave, can you take the landmines with you? Otherwise, people can’t farm the land”.

We were keeping track of every piece and cleaning up before her time. ...successful except where our prevailing constituent classes were forcing withdrawals before wars were finished, leaving overrun positions uncleared. She wanted a ban against manufacturing or using mines at all. Zero tolerance policies enforced against our military uses of certain equipment and tactics only serve to help the enemy by weakening our defenses.

As for stories fabricated for pushing only the USA and allies to ban defensive equipment and the kind of people who fabricate such stories, here's one. A few years ago, an old Alberta Nazi told me about his memories of Nazi Germany from his youth. He said that our Nation--the USA--manufactured mines intentionally to have them look exactly like toys, so that little German kids would pick them up and play with them. ...says something about the nature of some Saxon-Vandal-Hun-Nazi parents of the past, maybe. He also told me that the USA exterminated over 1 million Germans in US concentration camps.
