Charity isn’t charity if the funds are stolen from you at gunpoint.

Liberals don’t really care about the poor and needy: they care about using their plight to gain an wield power over the rest of us.

Exactly right. Cheapskates is the wrong word. It doesn’t come close to describing what they really are.

“Liberals don’t really care about the poor and needy: they care about using their plight to gain an wield power over the rest of us.”

In other words, they use the homeless & the needy during election time every single time and discard them from their memories after. It’s all done for their own personal financial gain as well as to pay off those that financed them with political & financial kickbacks.

The homeless and needy will always be the homeless and needy because liberals in power want it that way in order for them to retain that $power$.

Liberals don’t really care about the poor and needy:

I had an interesting online debate with an Australian socialist. I explained that, as a Christian conservative, I felt that helping the poor was the purpose of the church and charity organization and the government was intruding by trying to take over those responsibilities.

She held the exact opposite view; Charity was distasteful and demeaning. The purpose of government was to help the poor and less fortunate and church ought not intrude on that function.

Most telling, she stated that she gladly paid the taxes because it absolved her from any personal responsibility for her fellow man.
