Unless Indiana has a “stand your ground with deadly force” law, he can be prosecuted by the dead punk's relatives. Before Missouri passed that law, you were guilty until proven innocent if you defended yourself with deadly force. Now, the punk's lawyers can prosecute but if you were found only defending yourself, the lawyers have to pay court cost and restitution. Just hoping our newly elected DemocRAT governor won't try to overturn the SYG law.

The dead punk’s relatives could sue the shooter for wrongful death, but I do not see any opportunity to sue an editor/paper that might call the punk a CRIMINAL who died IN THE ACT.
