Of course everyone is entitled to secure the services of a competent lawyer. But you gotta admit that when the client flees the country and remains a fugitive from the law here in the U.S. to this day, his lawyer is going to be “tarred” no matter how ethical he is.

--I have never understood the whole situation, either--especially why Libby didn't get a change of venue.
It always seemed that any jurisdiction outside the "Beltway" would have been an improvement as far as getting a "fair" trial--
