Our new FreedomMarch.org web platform is nearing deployment, and we could use some beta testers to go to it, play with it and report any bugs you encounter -especially in the community area. The site is a media center, news and information center, work platform, and a community. Welcome to the new and improved FreedomMarch.org. The new site will work in conjunction with our radio network. We have a whole new look and new capabilities. It's being populated with content now and final edits. I don't think that there is anything on the net like it.

The site is here (http://67.223.235.129/)

I'm behind on updates, but FM.org will have some major annoucements coming soon. Our new "Restore America Program" will be a big issue.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Send mails here: FreedomMarch@live.com

Thank you for all the help we've gotten from Freepers.

Joe.

NOTE: This template is compatible with IE6, however your experience will be enhanced with a newer browser.

If I have to upgrade to a newer browser that means the website has allot of junk/javascript/video/etc that has to load.

If it won't run on IE 6 and basic browsers, you will lose allot of participation.

I don't intend to upgrade to IE 7 (tried it; didn't like it; finally got it uninstalled) just to view a few websites.

IE 6 is pretty old. I finally upgraded to IE7 and like it much better than IE6. I use Firefox as well, and that has its own issues too. Some MS sites appear off in that.

Thanks for the input.

Joe.

Unfortunately, IE 6 shows up 25% of the time on web hits.

Get a one-month membership to BrowserCam. You can test Apple, Linux, and Windows browsers against your site as much as you’d like, then.

Wow. Ok. We need the bells and whistles for what we’re doing. Maybe we should post a notice onsite.

Good idea. Thanks. We need users too, and Freepers are a techno-savy bunch.

If you understood all the extra code and script that has to be written to deal with ie6 and its bugs, you’d understand why most web developers are choosing to no longer support that browser. It’s old and leftover from the days when MS deliberately chose to attempt to rewrite the standards to knock out other browsers. They finally saw the light and took out *most* of the non-standard garbage with ie7. ie7 isn’t perfect, but it’s leaps and bounds beyond ie6.

There will be less script in code that does not write for ie6.
