Not me! And I don’t like “bad boys,” either. I like grown men with jobs and ambition. And uniforms.

Given that the risks (pregnancy of an unwed mother, STDs, poverty) have all been neutralized by the nanny state, “bad boys” have the same amount of appeal, and the downside is minimized. Get pregnant? You can marry Uncle Sam or have an abortion.... STDs? There are free clinics for that.... Poor? Go on welfare and let the nice guys be the sucker to pay for it...

The funny thing is, Alan Alda is mostly famous for playing an Army surgeon who, somewhat in the TV series and even more so in the book and the movie, was a martini-drinking, skirt-chasing bad boy.

Bad boys make great warriors but poor soldiers. If you want to win a war you need bad boys. If you want spit and polish soldiers Bad boys will not serve well.
